The girls and I walk down the small entrance to the secret hidden beach. We look at each other and we know what we are all thinking. We look on point. There are around fifty teenagers gathered around the bonfire all with alcohol and cigarets. Once we are down on the beach we look at each other and the plan commences. I am greeted by heaps of people who I can hardly recognise since it is so dark. Abby is off with Logan and so I go and sit down with the others around the fire.
I sit next Lucas and he offers me his flask and naturally I take it. The alcohol soon has consumed me and Lucas turns on his sound cloud. Everyone is laughing and I couldn't have been more happy in the moment. Thats until I feel two arms rap around my waist. I turn around and I see him. His beautiful tanned face is unrecognisable at first, but as he gets closer I can, even in my intoxicated state, it's Mark. I stand up immediately and run to get Laura but I fall down. He crouched down and offers me a hand but I don't and I lie back down in the sand. He keeps trying to pull me up but eventually gives up and lies down next to me.
"You're fucked Roads," he laughs and rolls onto his side.
"I hate you!" I shout hitting him continuously. He tilts his head back and laughs. He then this time successfully pulls me up and leads me over to the huge rock near the entrance. Mark leans again it and positions me so i'm standing in between his legs. His hands are holding my hips to steady me from falling and running away. His pearly white teeth smile and I realise how beautiful he actually is.
"Why do you hate me Mellie" He asks sensitively pulling me a little closer to him.
My head is spinning and I feel like i'm floating but I still recognise that he called me Mellie. I try to pull myself away. I try to get him to let go of me. I try to walk away but I can't. I slump down onto his chest and and I can feel each breath he takes.
"Why did you post that video?" I ask trying my best not to cry.
He freezes and I can tell he's scared. He pushes me off his chest and looks down.
"I was hoping you would never find out about that," He says
The loud bumping of the music is hurting my head and I can't concerntrait on what is happening.
"I have never done anything to hurt you, I have always stood up for you"
His emotions change and Mark no longer looks worried afraid. He gives me his signature smirk and starts to pull me closer.
"Why don't we pretend it never happened and continue on with where we were going."
"No!" I shout and I push him off forcefully. I look at him and I realise in that moment that what everyone has said is true.
"You are as bad as everyone makes you out to be," and with that I walk away and leave him by himself, alone.
