tessa's pov-
i woke up to a loud beeping noise. uh oh.
i shook tony to wake him up.
tessa: baby we should get a nurse i think somethings wrong.
anthony: push the red button on the side off the bed i'll call my dad and sister.
i quickly kissed his forehead and ran to the bedside.
the nurses came rushing in and said her heart was failing and she only had a few minutes left.
anthony's pov-
no no no no no.
this can't be happening. my mom means so much to me. i can't live without her.
i start crying really hard and i fall on the floor. i hear tessa running towards me.
tessa: baby. it will be ok. i know you love her and she means so much to you. i'm sorry baby. you don't deserve this.
she hugged me as i scores into her shoulder.
i hear tessa whisper to me every few minutes or so "it'll be okay," "i'm sorry baby," and "i love you so much."
tessa's pov-
tony's crying into my shoulder when his dad and sister run into the room. they immediately come over and hug tony. i get up to leave.
tessa: i'll let you guys say your goodbyes.
before i walk out i go over to mrs. trujillo and kiss her forehead, tears starting to spill.
when i get out of the room i sit in a chair and pull my knees to my best and start to cry.
i love mrs. trujillo she's just as much my mom as tony's. i can't believe she's almost gone.
i don't know how long i was out there crying or if she was still alive.
anthony's pov-
she's gone.
she took her last breath and she left us.
i collapse back onto the floor and cry.
then i notice tessa isn't there. i walk outside into the waiting room and see her sitting in a chair with her knees pulled to her chest crying.
she looks up at me and quickly got up and ran to my.
i opened my arms for her and pulled her flush to my chest. we stood there for what seemed like forever, her crying into my chest and me crying on her shoulder.
she's gone.
ill never see her smile again.
ill never hear her laugh.
ill never be able to do anything with her again.
thinking of never seeing her smile again or hear her laugh made me cry harder.
i heard my dad and sister come out of the room and come over to tessa and i. they say goodbye and leave. just like that.
tessa: baby it's late and we both need some sleep. let's go home.
i nod while she takes the keys out of my pocket.
tessa's pov-
i grab the keys and grab tony's hand with my free hand. we walk into the car and i drive us home.
when we get home we walk inside and go straight to our room. tony pulled his shirt off and i changed into my pajamas.
tony laid down in bed and opened his arms for me. i walked over to the bed and laid my head in his chest. his hands wrapped around me tightly.
tessa: i love you so much.
tony: i love you too.
he kissed the top of my head and we fell asleep.
