"You are so worthless Camila, and we regret being your friend. The only reason we were your friend, was because you were alone. And now, you're always going to stay that way. Alone Forever." Lauren spat, her voice filled with hatred, and the blood through her veins reminded me of a venomous snake, she was cold hearted, and she bit me with her words. The other girls behind her started to laugh and agreed, then they started to make fun of me and making me feel bad about myself. The words they were saying, was like a bullet going through glass, and it shattered me.
I couldn't say any words, I was stuck in place like a statue. I didn't understand what made their minds change their opinions towards me, what did I ever do to them? I've been friends with these girls since elementary, why should being a freshman in high school change that? Why didn't they like me anymore, was it the way I dress or what? All these questions I asked
to myself, but I couldn't answer them only they could.Suddenly, a sharp pain hit my stomach making me fall down, then the back of my head hit against the lockers, knowing later on there would be a bump. I felt all sorts of pain all over my body, and I knew it was from the girls I once trusted, and I let them hit me, there was no use in fighting back. They made me believe I am a worthless piece of shit, and that I am a nobody. Once they all were done torturing me, I cried because I realized that I am alone now.
-years later-
"Matt oh my god." I laughed, clutching my stomach from all the jokes and puns he was making up.
"I got another one." He replied, sitting up from my bed and looked at me as in asking for my "permission."
"Go on." I smiled, waiting for what joke or pun he had to say.
"What did the noodle say to the other noodle that lied?" He asked, biting back a laugh.
"What did the noodle say Matt?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow and grinning.
"Okay get ready for this, it's going to be hilarious, but it's an impasta!" He exclaimed, laughing so hard while slapping his knee.
I chuckled. "Matt you're so damn lame." I say shaking my head at his pun.
He breathed in some air to try to catch his breath from laughing too much. "Oh shut up! You know you love me anyways." He replied breathless, but continued laughing here and there.
And he was right, I do love him. The only loyal, honest and trustful best friend had to be Matt. Him and I have gone through a lot, and i'm happy to say he's my best friend. He met me four months after that huge incident happened to me in freshman year. I told him everything that happened to me and he helped me throughout the way. He made me believe I am important and that I am an amazing person. And no one will ever replace him, ever.
