I graduated 8th grade last spring and I thought high school would be the best thing that has ever happened to me. My older brother think it was the worst thing that ever happened to him. He is 23, over 6 foot, brown hair that he claims to wash every other day. He is my only other sibling and we have quit the age gap. Almost 10 years in fact. My Mom and Dad split when we were pretty young and we live with our Mom.
"Good luck Brooke, trust me, you'll need it"~Josh
"Oh, leave your sister alone Josh!"~Mom
"Mom, I BARELY survived high school. I'm just giving her some nice brotherly advice"~Josh
* sarcastically* "Ya, and Graphite is a metamorphic rock"~Brooke
"MOM Brooke is infecting me with knowledge!!!!"~Josh
*knocks on door*
"I gotta go!"~ Josh
"Have fun at collage sweety!"~Mom
"Ok! Oh, and good luck Brooke, have fun in hell!"~Josh
"Mom! Josh said hell!"~Brooke
"I was talking about the place, you were just saying it"~Josh
"Get out of here"~Brooke
"You leave, you go get ready!"~Mom
"Ok bye"~ Brooke
Even though my Mom says I should get more clothes, I wear the same six outfits every week, because there's always that one day that you wear pj's. I have a Monday's outfit, Tuesdays outfit, Wednesday's and so on, but I want to wear something better for my first day. I choose this shirt that has cold shoulders and leggings that has a cool pattern on it. I turn around and look in my full-length mirror.
"Um, no. First your stomache is bulging out, your arms are too short, your legs look fat and stubby, not long and thin, your socks don't even remotely match anything and what is your hair??"~The Devil on my shoulder
"Would you rather have me wear that sweater with a whole on the side and be the 'ripped' girl forever?"~ Brooke
"You have made a decent point, but now your the fat ugly bitch that can't find matching socks!"~The Devil on my shoulder
"This is as good as it's going to get, so shut the fuck up"~Brooke
*slow sarcastic claps* "Do you feel better now? You know I will always beat you at everything and win every argument because as long as I'm here, you believe everything I say. You will deny it, but as long as I'm here, the voice is too"~The Devil on my shoulder
You see, that voice, that Devil, is the strongest bully you will ever face because if it tells you something for a long enough time, you do start to believe it. After that, The Devil just sits back and watches you bully yourself.
