Leah's Story

Finally, its over, our town is restored from all the trauma. Now you might think I'm talking about some awesome superhero, you're wrong. Theses so called super heroes aren't the best...

Leah was going to work one day when she saw a random guy wearing all black and a ski mask with a guy chasing after. It looks like he had stolen something, a purse she thought? Then she realized the light had been green for a while and she had to go. Later that night Leah was thinking about it and wondered where Captain America11 was? Usually when something like that happens he is the first one to hear about it and he is there in 2 seconds as if he was an inch away. But he was not there this time. Leah tried not to think about it that much, she turned on the TV and the news was on.

"APARENTMENT B36 HAD JUST BURNED DOWN ON ROADS DRIVE"

Apartment B36? Leah thought, it sounded familiar?

"OH MY GOD THAT WAS DYLAN'S APARTMENT? IS HE OKAY? IS HE HURT?"

She grabbed her keys and drove over there, she didn't care what laws she had to break she had to see if Dylan was okay. When she got there she had no cite of Dylan as if he was never there. She started panicking and asking a bunch of questions. And where was Captain America11? Leah went up to an officer and politely asked, if anyone had been inside.

"Um, yes mam"

"Will you take me to him?"

She was almost crying now waiting for CaptinAmerica11. She was giving up on him. When she got to Dylan she realized that he had burns and cuts all over his face. He kind of looked like a cuter version of Freddy Kruger. She felt sad she was sitting beside him in the ambulance with a doctor on the other side.

"Will he be okay"

"Maybe, he has really bad burns miss"

She couldn't take anymore she put her head on the end of his bed and fell asleep. She had nightmares of what would happen if he died? What if CaptinAmerica11 never came?

She got scared she did not know what would happen, she panicked.

"BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP"

Leah woke up and there was doctors and nurses surrounding Dylan, she didn't know what to do. She heard his voice.

"Baby, its alright I'll be fine"

No, it won't be fine she thought to herself, then she realized that she wasn't hallucinating and that Dylan hadn't died. He was... alive. But the machine said something else. The nurses had left. It was just her and him. She got up and unplugged the machine, he obviously did not need it. She looked at him, he was smiling.

"You're so beautiful"

"Dylan, what is happening?"

"Nothing to your concern"

Leah walked closer to Dylan, she could see little red flakes on his bed. She wondered what from. She stroked his cheek. It felt hard and cold. As if he was dead. But he wasn't dead she knew that for a fact he was just talking to her.

"Good morning"

"Why are you so cold?"

He fell silent. They both did not know what to say. The nurse came in.

"I need to take a blood sample, you will need surgery"

"WHAT? Why?" Leah was very concerned at this point.

All Dylan said was "try" In a very faint voice.

The nurse got her needle and other objects she would need to keep his arm in place. She tried, she failed. All they heard was a slight *clink*. She dropped his arm more skin fell off. They both stepped back. She looked at the nurse Leah could tell she was frightened.

"Go ahead" Said Dylan.

"What?"

"Touch me"

Leah came closer, she slowly swiped her hand across his arm. More skin fell off, but this time something grey was shining. He looked at her she was scared of what he was.

"What are you?"

"Hello Leah, I am a product from the planet Galafriy. I have come to this planet to protect the human race. You all know me, very we'll in fact.. I am CaptinAmerica11, I had come at the age of 12 and would stay for 20 years. I was made to look and act like a human with feelings, but that was to blend in, but something else happened... I fell in love, with you."

Leah just stood there. Not knowing what to say or what to do she just looked at him.

"So what happens now?"

"My time is done. I was supposed to last 20 years but because of this; I only lasted 13"

Leah just stared at him more and more. You could tell she was about to cry, but she did not because she is strong. She walked closer to him.

"I guess this means bye then." With a tear rolling down her cheek.

Then he disappeared.

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

Leah woke up.
