Chapter 4

"Dinners ready!"

We all three look at each other as we put the controllers down. The sweet smell of spaghetti sauce filled my nose.
"I guess we're having spaghetti?" I ask
"God, I hope so." Grayson says with a laugh
   We walk to the dining room and I see my mom sitting there with an empty chair next to her. I make my way to the chair and sit down while Grayson and Ethan sit down as well. Ethan sits directly across from me and Grayson beside him.
"This looks amazing Lisa!" My mother says.
"Thank you, I've been working on it all day!" Mrs. Dolan replies.
"So Brooke, tell me about yourself." Lisa says with a smile.
"Well I'm from Tennessee, I like memes and I don't really know." (I legit had no idea what to put here lmao) I say with an awkward smile. The boys laugh when I say I like memes and it makes me feel a little less awkward.
"That's very nice. What are your plans for the future?"
God, is this thanksgiving dinner all over again? My family always grills me with questions about my future and other shit at Thanksgiving.
"I want to be a doctor when I get older." I say
"They make lots of money!" Lisa says
"They sure do!" My mom pitches in.
I suddenly feel a foot touch mine. I look up and see Ethan smirking down at his food. Is this boy really playing footsies with me at a dinner with our family? He looks up at me with that little smirk still planted on his face.
"Stop it you horndog!" I mouth to him. He chuckles and continues to put his leg higher up mine.
"Well this was an excellent dinner Mrs. Dolan! Thank you so much for having us over!" My mom says. My mom finished just in time.
"No problem! Thank you for coming!" Lisa says.
We all get up and I walk to get my purse from downstairs. I hear footsteps following me so I turn around to see who it is and sure enough it's Ethan.
"You know it wasn't very smooth, that trick, you played out there." I say with a sassy tone.
"You knew it was baby girl. That's why you got so worked up." Ethan says with a smirk.
"Well you're just lucky no one noticed or else I would never be able to come over again." I say.
"We wouldn't want that would we?" Ethan says in a sexy voice.
God what is this boy doing to me?
"Come on Brooke let's go!" My mom yells from upstairs.
My mom is always saving me from these situations I swear.
"Well that's my cue!" I say with a chuckle.
"I'll see ya around?" Ethan asks.
"We will just have to wait and see I guess." I say with a smirk as I sashay away.

It seems like this book is moving so slow but it's just because I legit have not updated in FOREVER. Tbh with you guys, I forgot all about this book and wattpad because I've been so busy with school.
