Hey guys, it's your girl Hiya! I know y'all wanna kill me (Don't even TRY to hide that weapon Stacie) with all of your... Um... Thingamajigs...
But hold off!***************
My leg healed surprisingly fast.
Considering the fact that I was, of course, awesome.
And pretty egoistic, come to think about it.
I was up and hopping about in maybe three or four weeks, ready for torture!
But unfortunately, Stacie wasn't doing so good.
I don't know what was up with her, but she seemed down and I had a feeling that had nothing to do with almost being kidnapped the last week.
I was worried that something would happen to her, so I snuck her out with me one night.
"Hiya, I'll ask you for the last time. What are we doing here?!" Stacie yelped.
"Calm down Kitty. We need to talk."
"Look, I'm fine." She insisted.
Can you believe that?!
"Kitty Kat, both you and I know that you're 100% not fine. Moon and I are worried."
"But... How will it matter if I leave the world, Hiya?"
"It will matter." My eyes started to burn with tears. I don't know what was happening. I never cried in front of anyone.
Stacie smiled sadly. "How much Hiya? And for how long?"
That hit me painfully in the gut.
I grabbed Stacie's shoulders and shook them as hard as I could.
"THIS." I snapped. "Is not our Stacie. This is depression speaking. Get me back our Stacie, now!"
I hadn't realized I was screaming.
This was not me either. I didn't know what was happening.
Stacie's eyes were glassy. "Hiya..." She murmured. "I really don't know what to think anymore."
I was trembling. Then I remembered. I was called sunshine.
Why? Because I... I liked to make people laugh.
And the only thing that could battle depression.....
It was painful, but I managed a smile.
"Stacie." I said calmly. "I know how you feel, chica. Life is... Not craptastic, nor sucktastic. It's fucking shittastic. But the thing is, that's where something called," I faced her properly. "Laughter comes in."
Stacie tilted her head. "Laughter? How's that gonna help?"
"Like this."
I racked my brains furiously for a way to make her laugh. Then it dawned on me.
"Hey Stacie, remember how you told us that Adrien said he had a crush on you in a truth or dare game back at your home?"
"Yeah, I do. So?"
A slow smile grew on my face. "So when are you gonna pummel him for that?"
She started to laugh.
********
The memory was a sunny afternoon, when Stacie was telling us, between laughs, "And then he blurted that he liked me. I would've slapped him right there-"
"No doubt." I interjected smoothly.
Maddie smacked me.
"And then Grace got super mad at me. The situation was so scary at that time, but now it's hilarious."
