"Here you go." I said, as I opened the small and yellow door of my house. He looked surprised and happy as he was seeing his mother for the first time. I don't know why I said that. I never saw my mom. After she gave birth to me, they prisoned her because she murdered her brother. I don't know which pyschopath would do that. High-five mom!

He looked around carefully, trying to understand what is going on in the house. Let me tell you something first, my house is not the best place you can see. The floor is the color of dark green and it is made from plastic. The walls are dirty and white. All kinds of posters hang around. Shelves are filled with dirty and scrambled clothes. Five mattreses lied next to each other. Our kitchen is made from a cooker and an oven. Our plates are in the floor, piled together. Our forks stay in the sink that is next to the cooker. The only separated room is the toilet. In the bathroom, there are two toilets and a douche, and also vending machine. Our dish washer is right in front of the door that connects our "home" to the dark streets of sunnyside.

"Hey everyone!" I screamed. "Come and meet our new guest!"

I heard whispers and laughs and after a few seconds, seven of my friends were standing right in front of us. They were all silent and they were all looking at the twig I brought with me: Chris.

I saw Chris squeezing his left hand with his right hand and he was looking around like something was gonna come and bit him. Oh please, of course we clean our house, once in three months.

"Sooo Chris, you will have to meet my roommates. I will introduce all of them to you, because I don't want you think wrong about, or say wrong things about them." Some of them laughed, I joined them.

"Remember when Celiné brought that little snob and he ran away and got killed?" shouted Teressa. Everybody started laughing including Celiné. She can get over someone pretty easily.

"Killed? Why?" Asked Chris. He looked like he could faint.

"Because he ran out at the wrong time. You can't go out after 1 am. Everybody knows it." Said Celiné. Chris nodded.

"Okay, so here is Teressa." I said. I pointed at the line starter girl. Teressa had been my friend for a long time. Our mother's were jailmates (Is jailmates a word?) and we met in the jail. She had long and black hair and deep brown eyes. She went into prison two times before for stealing a car. But still, she was probably the best one in here. But the problem was I didn't know anything about her past. And she never told me.

"This is Celiné." I pointed at the only bilingual person in the room. She waved. Celiné had a strange story. She was from France. But then she was kidnapped at the age of twelve, here in Sunnyside. Two years later, she managed to escape, but she didn't go back to France to her family. She lived in the streets until the day Jack found him next to our house. She was blonde and short. I was sure that she missed her family, but she never told that to us.

"Jack." I said. Jack was at the same age with me and he was covered with tattoos. He had big blue eyes and he was one of the only ones that brought money to the house. He played drums in a bar near Killer Records. He was homeless, since the beginning. And after selling heroin, he went into the prison several times. Still, he was a good boy.

"This is mine." I said with a laugh and pointed at TJ. I didn't know if TJ had a real name. I just knew that he had long black hair and dark skin. He was so skinny that you could easily brake his bones. He was another money-bringer and he sold drugs. TJ smiled to Chris but he had no teeth so it looked like he wanted to eat Chris.

"Carmen." Carmen was tall and slim, she was beautiful. She was blonde too but she was the dumbest girl ever. We have a lot of stupid people in here. But let me tell you something: She wins. I remember the first time we met. She was sleeping in the streets. She really was a whore and her nickname was Carmen, because of a cheesy Lana Del Rey song. I never knew her real name.

"Peter." Peter held my hand and kissed it. Classic Peter move. Peter was not able to speak. He had a tongue piercing years ago and it got infected, so they had to amputate his tongue. Not a nice story. But still, it is a funny one.

"And ma boy, Darren." Let me tell something about Darren. He is probably the hottest person Sunnyside will ever see. Darren had big green eyes and brown hair. He was young, he was sexy and he was my boyfriend. Or something like that. I don't know. He was working in KFC and ... He didn't fit here. Like bacons don't fit to brownies.

Chris looked more scared then he was. I held his arm and toured him around the room. We slept next to each other, 8 people in 5 beds. So it was hard to fit another person. But we had to try.

"Nice to meet you all." He said, at least. Celiné laughed and winked at me. Not mine, I whispered to her. She laughed again. Bitch.

"I brought some KFC to you." said Darren and showed three buckets filled with fried chicken and another bucket filled with bread and coeslaw. At least we weren't going to starve for that day. I looked at Chris. He was trying to stay out of our circle. I went next to him and said:

"We haven't been eating something good for a really long time. So if you want some, you better come and eat it."

He smiled and sat on the floor with us while Darren was opening the buckets. I heard him saying "KFC is good? How?" to himself. But I can't care less about his eating habits. I haven't been eating something for seventeen hours.
