Trying Just a Little Too Hard

Chapter One

Shaylyn:

"Alright Shay, here's your final payment," said the owner of the blueberry farm.

"Thank you so much!"

I thanked them and began running down the dirt road where my mom always picks me up. I couldn't sit still in the car, I was so excited. Today was the day I would have enough money to buy something that I had always wanted. I had been saving up for something huge and that I had been wanting for years, a VIP concert ticket. Once we got home I sprinted to my room and I counted my money. I had just over $3000. I went and found my mom.

"Mom! Mom! Mom!"

"What?"

"Remember our deal?" I said between gasps. "That if I saved the money and bought the tickets you would take and pay for the hotel?"

"Yes."

"Well I can buy the tickets!"

My mom and I looked online purchased the VIP ticket for me and a seat in the back row for her. I picked out a hotel and called ahead. I could not believe it within six months I would be next to 5 Seconds of Summer taking pictures and getting autographs. The best part was that it was on my birthday.
