Halloween is one of the oldest holidays in the world people say that it is 2,000 years old and that is true but the holiday was not the same back then in fact Halloween did not even start out as a American holiday it actually started in Europe the celts from the country called it samhain (saw-wain) and they called it that because samhain is one of the 3 brothers from hell the 3 brothers were Pluto,samhain,and the devil but centuries later Europeans came to the united states to spread the holiday and all countrys do it in a different way in Ireland people give solcakes instead of candy now today people go door to door saying trick or treat and have a happy halloween
