Binary Stars

I enter the kitchen with Calvin's hands on my hips. I smile. Nobody was there. Calvin took a chance and pulled me into him.

'Kiss him!'

I did so. He seemed surprised, but kissed back.
I pulled away and cuddled into his chest. We walked into the living.

My parents and brothers were both there. I gave them a smile. They smiled back. Jerrold was setting up a drawing game for all of us to play.

"I feel like I should be partnered with Cassandra. I got the game ready."

I shook my head with a smile. "This isn't a partnered game Jerrold."

I explained the rules. We all took turns drawing and guessing. I won...

Calvin had no problem kissing me in front of everyone. At the end of each kiss I blushed. I never had my face exercised like this before.

We finished eating our cakes and the topic of werewolves came up.

"Our wolves talk to us. They are the reason we can contact other wolves from our packs."

'You are welcome. And please sit in Calvin's lap.'

'Yes, I am. Your finally accepting the fact!'

I rolled my eyes. I wasn't paying attention to everyone trying to get my attention.

I don't think anybody just takes the news differently then me in the beginning...

'I would have.'

'Yes, but I was weak. I tried taking to you doing the times you got bullied and in trouble. The time when Madam Devil hit you...'

'Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you.'

I nodded my head.

Are you trapped in my mind?

'Of course not. I can take control of your mind. I can take control of her body. When we shift, I'm physically out. I don't even know what I look like.'

What do you mean by take over my mind?

'Like I start to over power your thought. Don't worry. I'll only do that when I get upset.'

Is that why people's eyes change color?

'Yes. And when we are communicating with others our eyes will go blurry. Now please jump Calvin's skeleton! His ours. No one will take him away!'

I came back to the conversation outside of my head.

"What?"

"You were talking to your wolf."

"Yeah. She's the reason I got headaches I guess."

"Did she talked about me?"

Jump his skeleton. Sit in his lap. His ours.

"Nope."

He growls.

'Stop teasing him!

Calvin grabs me and sets me into his lap. He whispered into my ear.

"Are you sure about that?"

His fingers traced my back under my shirt. I might actually jump him.

'I'm down for that. He's the hottest man I've ever seen.'

He gives me a smile. He started kissing the back of my neck.

"Hey! We are still here!"

Thank you Matt. Calvin stops kissing me. He placed his arms around me and pulled me closer to his chest.

We started talking about stories and my wolf started to talk more and more. Lots of stuff towards Calvin. I ended falling asleep in Calvin's lap. You know, when you asleep, but you can still process everything.

"If you hurt her Calvin I'm going to have to kill you." I heard Jerrold mention. "Alpha or not."

"There will be no need for that. I love her."

'That's right Cassandra. Our mate loves us!'

He feels an electric kiss being placed on my head.

"She's so adorable, and so is her wolf." He starts to laugh. "I can hear what her wolf says to her. She was definitely talking about me."

"Can see her your wolf?" Annabel asked.

"I don't think so. Is it normal not to shift into your wolf. She's 18. Her wolf has no idea what she looks like."

"We could try to teach her." Jerrold, Matt, and Mike said.

My father speaks, "It doesn't work like that... She needs to create a bond with her wolf. Then she will be able to shift and connect to her wolf better."

"I'm going to take her to bed."

Annabel speaks again. "You come straight back down mister. You will not do anything to her till she knows what a mate bond and a mark is. Understand?"

"Yes. I'm not going to hurt her." He kisses my forehead again. I'm being carried to my room. He places me gently in my bed and leaves.

How are we gonna connect?

'I don't know. I guess we can start by talking.'

Talking ok. What's your name?

'Jade.'

Like the gemstone! That's adorable.

'Well, I am your rock.'

We spent the night talking while I was asleep. I was going to meet someone who was like me. Who would understand everything I said.

We were two stars who needed each other. Like how Earth needed its sun and moon. We a circle around each other in the night sky.

We were binary stars.

I had a best friend hidden in my brain. I wasn't alone all those years. Our voices soon faded away and I was lying asleep in my moon bed. Under the night sky. Right by my first kiss.

My birthday ended amazing. I found my soul mate. Had my adopted family. Had my biological family. This day couldn't have gone better. It was rocky in the beginning, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Tomorrow I'll hang out with my three brothers and mate. We could go to the park. I feel like my life is finally connecting the empty puzzle pieces I lost years ago.

I dreamed a dreamed about anything really. It went from my parents to Calvin to us to Jerrold to Matt and Mike. I sleep knowing that I am truly luck for how my life just twisted back into a straight line. I have everything I could have ever dream of.
