Chapter 3

Jay's POV
My mom and I sat down waiting for the doctor to give us some results or answers, but Brandon was restless, pacing back and forth, not wanting to sit or even converse. This time the nurse didn't come to talk to us, it was a doctor. Brandon demanded to see her "You can't keep me from her! I helped her it's the least you could do" The doctor looked nervous and at a loss on what to say to the boy. "By all means I would love for you to visit her, but she is in a bad state right now and we can only allow family." I stood up and so did my mother "But Sir,  when we found her she didn't have any family near her" My mother said. The doctor replied "We can try to find out who she is in our system,Then we might be able to contact the family." Brandon refused "What if she doesn't have a family!" he looked frustrated "Brandon calm down. Let the doctor do his job" as I said that the doctor excused himself from the situation.

Alex's POV
Alone...Hurt....Stuck... My body was aching, the pain getting worse even thinking hurt me. I could hear voices for a while so I thought now was my chance to get help, but I wasn't able to do anything. That's when I was consumed in darkness. When I "blacked out" All the memories of my childhood replayed in my head one after another not stopping. Some were the highlight of my childhood others the breaking point of myself.

"GET OFF OF ME!!!" "Help me..." I walked in the house hearing screams. I ran to the sound leading into my moms room. I stopped outside the door listening to what was happening, I could hear my sister screaming I was frozen and shocked with fear. "m-mom p-please stop" I said but I was too quiet, my sister screamed again "Stop!" "You're hurting me!" I tried again raising my voice a little bit "Mom! Stop! You're hurting her" the door flung open, revealing my sister in the corner, the lamp on the ground, books on the ground, glass shattered on the floor. My mother glared at me " What do you want you nosy bitch?" I didn't know how to respond, I was truly afraid. I looked over to my sister her eyes filled with fear, blood on her arm, and leg, red slashes against her face. I shoved my mom to the ground "YOU MONSTER HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO YOUR OWN DAUGHTER!!??" I ran over to my sister, tucking her hair behind her ear and examining her cuts and marks. She sighed and closed her eyelids, her breathing slowing down. "NO VANESSA STOP!" I kept repeating her name over and over, but I was returned with silence. My mother got up, I turned around and glared at her but she met my glare with a smile. I turned around facing towards my sister, I placed my hand under her nose to make sure she was still breathing, I got up turned towards my mom and screamed, all the pain and anger coming out in the scream. My mother just stared at me showing no emotion that's what Pìssed me off the most "Do you not care about us? About your own blood? Huh? Answer me!!!" Instead of her apologizing or doing anything, she just opened the door and left. I went to my dad and asked him for help with Vanessa we got her into the car and drove her into the hospital.

My eyes fluttered open I was unsure of where I was. The smell was horrible, it was like gloves, and... old people? I turned my head soon to be faced with random people wearing a lot of blue. The first person to speak to me was a women looking about in her mid forties," Hey hun, Are you feeling better you were hurt pretty bad" "huh?" Another person this time stepped in asking," Are you hungry? Are you comfortable?" I had no clue why they were asking me if I need new adjustments or if I was hungry... "W-what do you guys want from me? Who are you? Where am I?" I kept asking questions not letting them get a chance to answer them, I was so confused. Finally a shorter looking woman looking to be around 30 was able to answer my questions,"We don't want anything from you, we just want to make sure you are okay and if you need help we're here, We are also the doctors and nurses of the hospital.." "HOSPITAL??" Ever since the incident with my sister I have never been fond of hospitals. I instantly jerked up out from the hospital bed, The doctors are started talking at the same time but then someone new walked in the room yelling "QUIET" "What's your name hun?" "Alex" I replied. "Well then Alex can you stay in bed, please? so we can make sure your okay, and you also have some visitors." "Doctors, Nurses, please escort yourselves out of the room."

I sat back down and thoughts ran in my head, Is it dad? Did he find out I left? Is Vanessa here!?? When the door opened my heart leapt out of my chest but instead of seeing my sister or my father, I saw two strange boys walking into the room. "Who are you" I asked.
