7:30am

I woke up to the sound of a murder of crows outside my window. The first thing I do is check my phone to see if Keith had texted me back, but as usual he had left me on read. I close my eyes for a moment to try and hold back the tears that are burning my eyes , I open them again and start to get out of bed, but then my phone goes off and I look at it so fast that I almost drop it on my face. I'm praying and hoping that it's a text from Keith, but my hopes are let down again because it's a text from my best friend Luna.

Luna03: did he text back?!?!?!?

Meredith14: no... he left me on read again😕

Luna03: awww Mer... I'm so sorry

Meredith14: it's not your fault, he's just in a mood

Luna03: Yah he's been in a mood ever since he's started dating Amber, What kind of name is that anyways??

Meredith14: don't remind me... we used to be best friends and day it's like he forgot about me.

Luna03: Mer, he doesn't deserve you. Oh crap it's 8:45, I've got to go. See You at school.

Meredith14: ok..... bye

8:55am

I got to school at 8:55 AM and I saw Keith against the wall listening to music. I wanted so badly to go up to him and talk to him because today has been one month since he has talked to me, but my feet were frozen to the ground and I couldn't move. I could just stare at his perfect auburn hair and the freckles underneath his ocean blue eyes ,and at the birthmark on his ear. I could just stare, I could just want him to notice me the way that I noticed him ,but he knew and I knew that, that was never going to happen.

"Hey" said Amber as she walked past me, pulling me out of my space out,

"Oh hey Amber" I said in the nicest, fakest way that I could.

" Love the outfit! What are those? Roses?" Asked Amber

" Actually no there guns" I said wanting to punch her right in her perfect, ugly nose
"Oh well Umm that's cute" Amber said hesitantly
"Hey beautiful" said Keith as he came over and put his arm around Amber. I could feel my cheeks turn bright red.
" hey babe" said Amber. I slowly backed away out of the conversation until I backed right up into Luna.
"Hey stranger" said Luna. I turned around and caught a glimpse of her green, blue eyes and she could tell that there was something wrong. I could see her tilt her head ever so slightly to look behind my shoulder to see Keith and Amber talking.
"Mer he's an idiot and you don't need him" said Luna in her *cheer up mer* voice,
" that's what everyone says, everyone says that I should-" I was interrupted by the bell.
"Come on we have to get to class, we can talk about this later" said Luna as she ran into the school.
