It was the last stretch. If one would win, it would happen soon. Both seemed to be equally exhausted and Captain Unstoppable was sure he could do it. He only had to push through his pain a little bit more. He had to last longer than the villain girl in front of him. "Jinx, it doesn't have to end this way. If you just surrender, nobody else will get hurt. I don't want to hurt you." Unstoppable called to her.

"But what's the fun in that?" She smirked. Captain Unstoppable frowned. His caramel eyes filled with fear and a wave of energy suddenly surrounded his arch-nemisis. Her hazel eyes gleamed green as she was completely restored and obviously had the upperhand now.

"No, oh no." Unstoppable muttered.

"Oh yes." Jinx grinned. Her eyes were now blue as her brunette hair fell in her face. She raised her hands up, causing more destruction all around.

Captain Unstoppable struggled to stand up, as millions of options ran through his mind. Almost all of the civilians had already evacuated, and she only wanted control of this town and him. He had plenty of companions who would take care of the rest of the world, so one hero being dead wouldn't effect to many people right? Maybe he could make a deal with Jinx, until somebody else could get here to set up a border, forcefield, something. Jinx was not about to give up, and Captain Unstoppable was finding out how stoppable he truly was.

With the last ounce of his energy, he sent out a distress signal to the superhero headquarters, collapsing from exhaustion soon after.

When the hero woke up, he was in a dark, damp, concrete room. He still had close to no energy, and couldn't bring himself to stand. Feeling eyes on him, he forced himself to look up at the villain who held him captive. "You have quite the face without your mask on, hmm Captain?" She purred, touching his jaw, lifting his face to her as he glared. "Such pretty brown eyes."

"You won, so why didn't you kill me?" He spat, his voice hoarse.

"How could I? A champion must have some kind of a trophy." The woman's smooth voice explained as she moved to the small glass window.

"How long until your villain buddies come to see your new trophy then, huh?" He hissed.

"How long?" Jinx repeated. "How long do you think it would take to break you if I let you here in this cold, dark cell alone to rot?"

The hero felt his chest tighten.

"Humans do need company." Jinx murmured, moving to him. She lightly touched his dirty, tan hair. She grabbed it and pulled his head back as she leaned toward him. "They go a little crazy without it. You hate me so much, so perhaps you'd prefer to be alone, hm?" She moved to face him, a smirk playing at her lips. "I always imangined death would be like that. Alone in a cold, dark space, unable to do anything. Trapped in your own head with no one else to guide you out of the dark places you end up. An eternity of conscious nothingness."

"You wouldn't." He tried to growl, but instead whimpered.

"Let's make a bet on that, shall we?" Jinx tilted her head, a chesire cat smile playing at her wine colored lips. She stood, slowly making her way to the door.

"How are you supposed to put a trophy on display if you lock it away from the world?" The hero tried, his voice coming out as desperate.

"Are you planning on being a good little trophy?" The villain asked, not looking at the hero. Humor laced her voice.

"I just can't be alone." He whimpered, breaking sooner than she thought. She turned, seeing the hero curled up, fear filling his gorgeous brown eyes, ones that normally had confidence displayed. She didn't want to hurt the hero this much, just toy with him a bit to make him agreeable.

Her gaze softened, just for a moment. "Seperation anxiety?"

He nodded wordlessly, his eyes to the floor.

"What's your real name, hero?" Jinx raised an eyebrow, her normal facad back. The hero shook his head. "If you don't answer, I'll leave you here."

"Patton." The hero choked out. "Don't leave me alone, please."

"Alright Patton. Get up, and follow me." Jinx snapped. When the hero didn't stand, she rolled her eyes and yanked him up by the wrist, holding him tightly. She grabbed him and dragged him down a dark hallway and up some stairs.

They arrived at a door. Jinx opened it and forced Patton into the room. "Get cleaned up and when you're done call me. I'll be back."

Patton reluctantly nodded and Jinx closed the door, locking it. She moved down the hallway and into her living room. "Who knew Captain Unstoppable was such a hot, anxious mess under his mask." Jinx grumbled as she flopped onto her couch.

"Nobody, did apparantly. Except for his comrade, Mr. Amazing." Another voice laughed. Jinx looked to see her villain companion, Echo. "He's a hottie under his mask, let me tell you."

"How'd you get Mr. Amazing?" Jinx smirked, trying to mask her amazement.

"Won him in a poker match. A lot of heroes have been taken down at the city's border and are being exchanged like rare pokemon cards." Echo chuckled, plopping down next to her, starting to reapply her black eyeshadow.

"I told you taking the city was a good idea. I managed to do it all on my own, too. Now the league of villains can start taking the rest of America with less of the heroes about. And it's only been, what? Two days?" The hazel eyed villain cackled.

"Jinx, are you still out there? I'm finished." Patton called from down the hall.

"Hold on a second, let me go get my hero so you can tell me Mr. Amazing isn't as hot as him." Jinx jumped up and waltzed over to her bathroom to grab the anxious hero.

"I seriously doubt that." Echo yelled after her.

"Jinx?" Patton whimpered again. As the villain got closer to the door. She didn't want to admit it, but hearing the hero sound so small and broken was getting to her. She unlocked the door and raised an eyebrow at the broken hero. His hair was wet from washing it and he reminded her of a lost puppy. He only had the pants from his suit on since the shirt was destroyed. He held the ripped and blood stained top in his hands.

Jinx rolled her eyes and grabbed his wrist again, which caused him to drop the shirt. Jinx ignored it, dragging him into the living room. She had him stand as she sat on the couch.

"Oh, you're right," Echo gasped. She turned, pouting at her friend. "Yours is hotter. Can we trade?" She stood up and began poking Patton all over with her dark green nails.

When he began wincing, Jinx stopped Echo. "You have your own. I had to win him by fighting. Not by poker. So back off."

"What are you even going to do with him?" Echo huffed, plopping next to Jinx again. Jinx inspected her maroon nails. Patton didn't say anything, he just nervously looked at the woman who held his fate at her finger tips.

"I'm not sure yet, but he's going to be put to go use."
