Just something I had in my drafts// I'm using some of the events that went on in my life because I don't know how to start this off and I will probably run out of ideas(with of course some modifications). Anyways, enjoy.

Light tapping filled the room of Lance McClain, the glow of his iPhone being the only light source. He wears a tired yet sad expression as he tries talking to his 2 month long girlfriend. His small lanky hands tremble as he types out a long paragraph about everything he adored about her, A quiet "whoosh" filling the room as he pressed send.

"Please...say anything....anything at all..." he breathed, his bottom lip quivering.

His eyes fill with tears as he smiles, a small string a hope still left inside of him. Maybe she'll respond this time! She will I know it! I can feel it in my gut! 2 minutes have passed and he couldn't help but send one final message.

"Please don't break up with me..."

"I am."

And just like that,

"Goodbye"

Lance lost the love of his life.

"No..." he breathed, tears flowing down his cheeks, instantly calling her.

"...hello?" The girl said over the phone.

"N-No!!! Y-you can't!! Please, PLEASE, okay I'll change!!!! U-um...I'll um...i-I'll dye my hair! Y-you said you like men with black hair right? You even said it would look good on me!!! I'll do it!!! I'll do it just please!!! Not like this please!!" Lance screamed and cried, his world crumbling right before his eyes.

"Uh...no thanks..."

"Babe, who's that on the phone?" Lance heard a low masculine voice from the other side of the phone.

"N-no....n-nonononono....y-you're c-cheating on me t-too...?" He squeaked out, choking back sobs.

"......"

Boop boop boop

He pulled the phone away from his ear.

Call ended

Lance bawled his eyes out for what seemed like forever, he never thought in a million years that the one he held so dear to his heart would break him the way she did. Keith slammed his door open, annoyed beyond his breaking point.

"IM TRYING TO SLEE-...." Keith's taken by surprise as he sees his once strong hearted, flirtatious, confident rival in one of the biggest emotional break downs he's ever seen.

"D-Don't look at me! Go away, leave me a-alone!!!" Lance bellows as he hides his face in his hands. Keith walks over to the side of the bed next to lance, thinking of only one reason that would explain this.

".....She broke up with you....didn't she..." Keith asked softly, lance nodding his head.

"....c'mere...." Keith held his arms open, smiling sadly as lance throws himself into them, crying uncontrollably.

"I-I thought everything was p-perfect!!! W-we loved e-each other!!! I-I don't know what I did wrong!!!" He wailed into his chest, soaking Keith's light grey T-shirt with his warm tears.

"A-and the worst part I-is that when I c-called her, I-I heard this guy in the b-background call her babe!!!! S-she was....s-s-she was-!!" He loses all control of his sanity and nearly screams into Keith's chest, crying his eyes out.

"I swear to god lance if you and Keith are really having a fight this early in the morning I'm going to-" pidge cut herself off after she rubbed her eyes and put on her glasses. The scene before her was horrific, and it nearly broke her heart.

"Lance....oh my god....Keith she didn't-"

"yeah...." He sighed, rubbing small circles on the crying boy's back.

"Oh lance..." her voice was soft and sympathetic as she ran over to join the hug. "don't let her break you like this...." she said softly, caressing his hair. About half an hour passed and his screams turned to soft, shaky breaths.

"I-I hate...I-I hate....m-me..." he whimpered, clutching onto Keith's shirt.

"Lance don't say that, she missin' out on you man! There aren't a lot of guys out there that are like you, that's for sure. You're special." Keith cringed a little after saying that, and pidge gave him a thankful nod.

"That's right lance! You're an amazing guy-" a soft snore interrupts her little speech but she smiles thankfully, giggling softly.

"You think he heard what I said before he fell asleep..?" Keith asked her, a sleeping lance still clinging to him.

"I'm sure he did, Keith..." she sighs,  prying lance off of him and laying him down in his bed. She kisses his forehead and tucks him in, walking out the door with Keith.

"I'm really worried about him, Keith...people don't normally recover from these kind of things..." pidge said nervously, the soft sounds of their footsteps bouncing off the walls of the long hallway. Keith takes his tear-soaked shirt off as they walk, sighing.

"I don't know man, let's just hope he doesn't go off and kill him self." He mumbles, rolling his eyes. Pidge looks over at him and groans in annoyance.

"Keith, I know you said you don't like to make promises...but please...promise you won't be too rough on him, at least not until he's all better.." Keith looked straight ahead, but glanced down at the shorter female. She looked up at him with worried eyes, her pinky finger held up for him.

"Alright, I promise." He sighed, locking his pinky fingers with hers. Pidge smiles and lets go, both of their hands falling to their relaxed stances.

"What do you think made her end it all of the sudden? They were perfectly fine last week, I could hear them giggling and laughing all the time over the phone. They even went on a date that week." He said, trying to think of any possibilities while he clutched onto his shirt tightly.

"I'm sure she'll tell lance one day...or he'll beg her for an answer..." she sighs, stopping at her door. The hallway dead silent besides the faint sounds of the circuits working to keep the castle in tip-top shape behind the walls.

"Maybe he'll be better tomorrow...anyways...goodnight Keith." She smiled up at the taller male, opening the door to her room. The warm air and soft orange light of her lamp welcoming her.

"Night' pidge." He states. They exchange a small wave and walk into their rooms, Keith's further down a bit. The patter of his feet echoing though the hall.

"I'm so sorry..." Keith's voice was barely above an audible whisper, the pads on his fingers caressing the walls of his room as he shuffled towards the bed. His chest stung in a familiar way, the same feeling he's had for a few months now. It hurt him to keep his love for Lance hidden.

It hurts to love, especially when it's what you fear most.
