We are at the beach drinking kava, it tastes pretty bad but I love the feeling. Taking another sip, I felt my tongue go numb. I turn my face toward the left, there are barely any street lights lighting the area, but I still see him. He's always in my dreams standing, watching, or he's the chaos of it. Starting fires, or cutting me. I kept my gaze in his direction. Our eyes never met, but I know he knows I see him. A moment passes before he looks up. His bloody joker smile never leaving, his big icy blue eyes never blinking and lastly his pale white skin barely visible under his bloodstained white hoodie. I want to go up to him and ask him everything. 'Are you real? Am I losing it? How are you in my dreams?' Sadly I doubted my questions would ever get answers like he is only my imagination, then again no one seems to ever see him.
"Babe?" I hear behind me breaking my trance toward the stranger.
"Huh?" I snap my head toward my high school sweetheart.
"What are you looking at?" He tries seeing behind me probably making sure I'm not ogling at another guy. Even though I would never cheat or think of it.
"Oh, nothing just got lost in thought." I lied, well kinda. I know I should tell him, but when the nightmares first started he told me I was stressing out from school and shouldn't overthink it.
"Come on it's getting late." He lastly suggests before getting up to throw away our cups. I turn left again he is leaning against a wall now seeing that my gaze is back on him he began lifting his finger raising it to his lips to signal me not to say a word. Not like I would, who would believe me. As I got up, he walked away disappearing into the darkness. Before making things weird I follow my boyfriend to his car.
When we were finally home I got ready for bed and went straight to sleep.

Dream

I am back at the kava bar, but this time it's empty and closed meaning no one else is around. Expect for him. I didn't see him yet, but I knew he is there for me.
I turn to my left feeling that someone is staring at me. Without missing a step he is there once again, but this time he is sitting next to me instead of leaning on a wall like earlier tonight.
I want to say something, but I could not think of anything to say, his piercing blue eyes intimidate me making me unable to speak. We continue sitting in silence with his gaze lock on me. I notice something glint out of his pocket. Before I could react he bent me over the bar, pushing me down. Taking his knife out he began to cut the strap to my tank top, before lowering the shirt to allow easy access to my shoulder blade. I feel the cool sharp object carve into my skin once again. It's always the same place, right above my shoulder blade. It's always the same shape, a circle with an X in the middle. I became used to the pain that I stopped squirming, but I was not ready for what he did next. When he was done admiring his work, he licked my blood off my skin. At first, I tensed up, but now I'm kinda enjoying it. I held back my groans until he kisses my shoulder blade and lightly nibbles me. I gasp, "I have a boyfriend." I say pushing him off me knowing my face is flushed from me enjoying it. We stood there facing each other before he stepped closer to me.
"Soon doll." He whispered into my ear making me shiver under his breath.

End of Dream

Getting up I check the time, "Fuck, I'm going to be late." Rushing through my morning routine I got ready for school and left.

I was in the back writing notes when I felt like someone is watching me. Ignoring the feeling I continue on with the class. Until we were finally dismissed.
Leaving the classroom I began walking to my car to head home after two hours of math. As I got closer to my car I notice someone was leaning against my car. He is tall and wearing a white hoodie and dark jeans. My heart began racing hoping that it wasn't him.
"Hey, doll." I heard a deep, dark and raspy voice answer me as I stood in front of him.
"Who are you?" I finally ask him, out of all the times I have seen him I ask now.
"Name's Jeff, but that's beside the point." He starts.
"What do you want then?" I lean against my car next to him.
"You. Now get in the car we're going out."
"Wait!" I began snapping head towards him. His craved smile never changing, his smirk teasing.
"Relax doll, I'm not going to date you." He says while his eyes look me up and down.
"Why should I trust you?" Crossing my arms in hopes to feel covered.
"I didn't kill you. Now could we get going I'm losing my patience." He said with annoyance as he stepped in front of me for me to see how big he is compared to me.
Not testing his patience any longer I enter my car, as Jeff follows my lead by entering the passenger side.

"How much longer?" I ask seeing we weren't anywhere. The area we are in had nothing special. Few plazas, neighborhoods and of course places to eat, but nothing out of the ordinary.
"Don't worry Doll, we're almost there." I feel him smile at me. "Turn left." He finally says.
Following his direction, I turn left taking us to a parking lot for the woods.
"Good, now listen to me and listen good. I won't be taking you, yet. The day I do you will be here. Now you're going to follow me and I'll show you where we are going to meet." He opens the door to my car, then goes around and opens mine.
I follow the stranger to the playground. I instinctively sit at the swing set when we reached it, Jeff chose to stand towering over me.
"Alright Doll, this is where we'll meet again when it's time. Although I would love to take you now." He smirks. "But sadly I was ordered not to."
"When will I be ready?" I question him.
"Sorry, I can't tell you. You'll find out though, and if you ever need me just come here. I promise I'll be there for you."
I shiver at the thought of seeing him willingly. Facing the pale man, his hood still up. He seems ready for something, I'm not sure what, but he seems to know.
"How do I know I can trust you?" I ask once again. I'm feeling as if I'm not in danger but he looks like someone you should stay away from.
"I told you my name, didn't I?" He sighs "Is there anything I can do to gain your trust?"
I think of what could prove it, I had many questions, but now I'm at a blank.
"I'm not sure Jeff, I guess, can I see all of you? Not only parts." I ask since every time I see Jeff I only see his smile, eyes and the little bit of white bleach skin which were really his hands and at times his chin.
He stands in front of me. His head is looking down.
"You asked for it." He pulls his hood down showing his jet black hair, icy blue eyes that seem to have no eyelids, a carved bloody scarred smile clashing against his ghost-white skin.
I sat in front of him, he looks "You look good." I express, stunned. I couldn't explain why I found him attractive.
"I know I'm beautiful." He smiles playfully. I push him lightly, laughing.
"Finally a smile." He expresses getting closer to me. Suddenly I realized how close he was to me, I break my stare.
"I need to go home. I have to make dinner." I told Jeff getting up almost closing the gap.
"Sure thing, just remember I'll be here doll or I'll be there whenever you need me." He brushes an (h/c) strand of hair away.
"My name is (y/n), not doll."
Walking around him I make my way back to my car to head home.
