Chapter Seven: A Meeting with Destiny:

        I paced back and forth in my living room as my sister voiced her fears. I knew she feared the Rain Lord. After all, he did try to kill her. She rested her hands over her now large, round stomach, and looked at me. Her dark blue eyes got a determined look in them.

        "Brother, I know you fear for me but please listen to me." I looked at her, my frantic pacing finally ceased as I saw the determined look on her face."I understand that I'm being kept here for my own good, but I think we should do this. We should go talk to the Rain Lord. I should already have my child by then, so you won't have to worry about your pregnant baby sister being hurt. I'll stay out of the way, and let you talk. Hell, I can even get back up in case something bad does happen. Of course Tenchi will want to come, so we count on him being there. Shinobu will want to come, so we count on him. Yuji will want to come, since he will want to keep up with protecting me. The only one who we will have some trouble convincing is Haku. Of course Sakura will tag along just because her older brother. Kieashai will want to tag along as well, just so he won't be undone by his brother. We have plenty of back-up brother." I looked at my sister again, surprised by her strength.  I knelt in front of her, and put my hands on her knees, my muddy brown eyes looking into her sapphire blue eyes.

        "Are you sure you want to do this?" I asked seriously. Haine nodded, making her black curls bounce about her shoulders. I sighed heavily, and removed my hands from her knees, and stood up. "Ok, I'll go talk with Haku, and the others. You just wait here for me until I come back."

        "Ok, Big Brother. I'll wait here for you." I smiled slightly as I turned on my heel, and walked out the door to find the others.

        As I walked down the street, worry soon set in again. What if my sister got hurt? I couldn't live with myself if something happened to her knowing that I could have chosen to prevent it from ever happening. I was forced to think back when Haine was first targeted by the Rain Lord, and shivered with fear. What if it was just another trick? What if it was a trick and my sister was killed? What about her baby? What if he targeted her child? What if he tried to kill her child and Haine protected it, and she got hurt? What if everyone ended up getting hurt cuz this big fight happened? I shook my head, and tried to clear my mind of these silly fears. We had enough back-up, the Rain Lord would know we would have people to protect us. But what if it's not enough? I shivered at thought, and immediately shoved it to the back of my mind. Now was not the time to be fearful. Now was the time to be strong, and be the protector. The strong one. I had to protect my little sister, like I promised my father I would, and that meant I couldn't let my fear show. I had to be the strong one. For her, for me, for everyone.

        I looked up at the house I had come to. It was traditionally styled, simply painted white. I sighed, and knocked on the door, half hoping that no one would answer.

        I heard the knock at my door, and with a sigh I heaved myself from the couch, and walked over to the door. I pushed my glasses over my eyes, and answered the door. I was surprised to see a frantic looking Tenzo standing there. I cleared my throat, and he looked at me as if I had just crushed a dream of his.

        "'Sup Tenzo?" I asked leaning against the doorway. He looked at me; his previous frenzy seemed to fade away as he straightened himself out.

        "Look, my sister and I need some back up. We're going to see the Rain Lord. Will you come with us?" I looked at him, surprised. Haine actually agreed to see the man that had tried to kill her more than once? I was shocked, but I knew that her asking for help was out of the question. I looked at Tenzo, and nodded swiftly.
