"I'm sorry, did I hear you correctly?" Sophia asked in disbelief. "Did you say I'm going to sing? In front of people? By myself?"

"Oh no, not by yourself. The company has chosen two other girls to form a group with you." A brunette woman, who looked in her mid forties, told Sophia.

"Oh...wow."

"Wow indeed." She smiled.

"Um, thank you, miss..."

"You can just call me Lina."

"Thank you Lina."

"Sophia!" Miah gasped, running up to the girl.

"Miah!" They hugged, squeezing each other tightly.

"I'm so glad you're here! I can't believe we're going to be in a group together." Miah laughed, letting go of her friend. "I don't know why they chose me, though. I can't sing well."

"You can sing!" Sophia countered. "I'm surprised they picked me."

"Shut up, Sophia! You sing better than I ever could."

"Guys?" A small voice rang out behind the two.

"Karina?" Sophia said.

"Kari!" Miah squealed, running up to hug the girl.

"H-hi." She gasped.

Miah let go of Karina, smiling widely. "I'm so glad you're here!"

"We're really all singing together?" Karina was also in disbelief.

Sophia nodded. "We'll be great."

"This is not going to be like Love Live, is it?" Miah questioned no one in particular. "Or K-on..."

Sophia laughed. "Fucking Love Live."

"Oh ya, K-on is a thing, huh." Karina reminisced. "When's the last time I watched an anime?"

"We should watch 'Love Live! Sunshine' just to get a feel of being an idol~. We could be Aqours!"

"Not the main group?" Sophia asked.

"Nah, I don't think my keyboard has that symbol."

Karina snickered.

"We have to lose weight?!" Miah nearly screamed. "I'm not gonna make it."

"I'm so fat..." Sophia sighed. "I can't do this."

"Sophia, you are beautiful." Miah put her hand on the taller girl's shoulder. "We- we can do this!" She turned to Karina. "Except for you, Kari, you're perfect, you don't have to do anything."

"What?" Karina backed up, slightly. "No I'm not."

"Yes you are." Sophia and Miah chorused.

"Besides, you two go to the gym and do sports. You'll be fine. I can't exercise for shit." Miah dropped her head.

"Ok, Miah, look at those curves girl. You don't need to work out." Sophia turned, pointing at her friend's body.

"Excuse me, girls." Lina opened the door to the room they were in. "It's getting pretty late. I'll show you to the place you'll be staying."

The three nodded. This was the start of something that would change their life forever.
