I peel open my eyes, feeling like they've been closed for far to long. When my eyes finaly open the blinding white lights seem far to bright causing me to close my eyes and roll over to my side stuffing my face into my sour smelling pillow.

When my eyes finally adjust to the light I open them. The room is a perfectly square white box with tiled floor. Im lying on a small white bed in a slightly elevated position that shook when I swung my legs over the side.

I look at the end of my bed and notice an vase full of crispy brown flowers. As well as a mostly uninflated balloon flouting about 3 inches off the ground, I believe says get well.

what?... I let my toes touch the cold ground and slowly slide of the bed so I'm standing. My legs feel shaky like their not used to holding my weight. I grip the railing on the bed to steady myself. After a moment I make my way to the closed door, slowly so I don't loose my balance.

When I touch the door nob I have to focus to turn it properly. It felt like every bone in my body decided to fall asleep and become useless. Finally, while using both hands, I open the door and slide my head out into the hall way. Looking from one side to the next. On the left I see more doors leading down the hall way. On my right I see a opening that leads into a slightly larger section in the hall that contains a circular desk with a women in a bright pink nurses uniform and a pixie cut.

I slide the door open more causing it to creak. Stopping at the sudden noise I pause watching the nurse. She didn't seem to notice me standing with half my body out the door because I see her continue to shuffle through papers on her desk.

Instead of opening the door more I slip through and stumble into the hallway. My cold bare feet make it so I'm barley noticeable.

I stand there for a moment not sure what option to take. I cant remember why I'm here.

But my surroundings tell me that I'm in a hospital, I look down myself and realized I was only in a ugly off baby blue hospital gown.

well that has to go.

Even being in a hospital I feel like I'm unsafe, there's an unsettling feeling in my stomach. I feel a growing need to get out of here. crazy right I'm in a hospital! I should feel safe, right?

A quiet shuffling brings my attention to the side of the hall by the desk. I look up to see a old women with white hair and a hunched back shuffling down the hall with a cane in hand. She then passes the nurses desk. The strange thing was the nurse didn't even look up. well someones not very observant.

As the old lady walks closer to me something seems off. When she shuffles across the hall from me I notice her skin is extremely pale, to the point its almost transparent.Thats when it hits me, she is transparent! The realization hits me. I jump when I can see the door acrossed the hall through her. My jump caused my back to bump into the half open door causing the door to slam.

Now the nurse looks up, her gaze immediately looks at me. Not even flickering at the old women who had now stopped her shuffl and looks at me.

She doesn't have any eyes, the spots where normal people have eyes was just holes. There are no creepy old lady eyes but just a hollow eye socket. How I didn't realized it before baffles me, but the thought now seemed to put me into a state of shock. I did the only thing that made sense. Scream. That's exactly what I did.

The scream echoed down the long hallway. The nurse who seemed to finally gain the ability to function shots out of her chair and snatched the office phone off of the desk. After dialing a few numbers she shouted a few words into the phone before slamming it back down then moved her hands pressing a few buttons, causing the lights to start flashing throughout the hall and a low beeping begin to go off. She did all of this without once taking her eyes off me.

My eyes flicker back to the old lady who was craning her neck as if to get a better look at me. Then everything seemed to happen at once, the door next to the desk opened and people in nurses uniforms came bursting through. They all seemed to take momentary pauses when they saw me, most had baffled looks on there faces, some seemed to be saying something to me, or to the others, I wasn't sure. I was paying no attention to the people running my way all my attention was drawn to the old lady across the hall who one of the nurses had just run through to get to me. It was all to much, the next thing I knew was the world was being turned side way as my body began to shut down. I didn't even notice when my head connected to the cold tiled floor.

The last thing I remember seeing was a dark figure standing off to the side looking down at me, not frantically swarming around me like the people in nurses uniforms, but watching me. I was barley conscious as I watched him slowly walk through the mob of people and crouch back onto his heels. Staring at me, he lifted his hand up off its resting place on his knee and placed it on my head, a cold feeling coursed through my body. Then everything went black.
