I didn't want this day to come. I spend ten years trying to find another guy to love, but all the guys I saw weren't right for me. When Jake had died, I had made an agreement with my parents that if I did not find a husband in ten years when I would be twenty six, then I had to pick one from the suitors that were randomly picked. I figured that I would find another guy, but all the ones I dated were either really gross, too overconfident, or were really mean and rude. After ten years, I still dearly missed Jake. Every month I would visit his grave and put a blue colored flower on it. I honestly hated the idea, but I was happy that I didn't have to go through what my dad did. I would have to spend a month each with twelve suitors that would be randomly picked. I would spend a month with them, alone, going on dates with them during the period of the month. If I didn't like the suitor I could send him home whenever I wanted. If I liked the guy at the end of the month, I could keep him, and he would return when I was done seeing all the guys. At the end I had to choose the guy I loved. If I didn't love any of the guys, then that may become an issue, but I don't care. I will cross that bridge if I come to it. Today I had to go for an interview that would be shown on t.v. I wore a simple dress that glittered with pink sparkles all over it. My hair was pinned up into a neat bun. Before I went to my interview, my parents wished me luck. I thanked them and moved along to the room I was being interviewed in. When I walked in, a black haired girl greeted me . She explained that there was a change in plans. I would be filming a commercial, and if I wasn't too tired after that, I would be filming the interview. She told me what lines I had to remember, and say. After thirty minutes of reviewing my lines, I was ready.
"People of Ilea, I am calling upon men that are between twenty four, and thirty. I, Princess Isabelle, have decided to open up my heart to the citizens of my country. Any man within the age range can sign up to have a possibility to be one out of twelve men to date me for a month. How this works is, when the suitors are selected they will each have a month alone with me. We will get to date for a month, and I will decide if I want to see you again at the end of my twelve month sessions. If I decide you are not the one, I can send you home. Please help me find my true love. Maybe you can become my prince. Thank you all very much. Bye!"
I took a deep breath and I was finally done. I ended up doing the interview, just to get it over with. I was asked basic questions, about my interests, about what I wanted in a man, and more. I felt a shock of pain when the interviewer asked me about Jake. I respectfully answered, letting everyone know that I wanted a guy that I could also be best friends with, like I was with Jake. I was relieved when I was finally done. All I had to do now was wait for the suitors to be chosen, and wait for my first date. A month later all the suitors were chosen. They all looked pretty nice, but I still didn't know what their personalities looked like. My first suitor was arriving in three weeks. His name was Cyrus. I was looking forward to meeting him, but I was a little nervous. I just hoped I would find another love from this.
