"I thought I could save you, my little cardinal. But now I see it as hopeless." He was kneeling on the ground, clutching the body of his deceased lover. The rain showered the man as he let out a startling sail of agony, cutting deep into the nearby crowd. He bowed his head, sobbing and clutching the body closer to himself.

It was cold, lost of warmth and the once shining smile was wiped from her face. How carefree she was. Her fiery red hair was splayed on the asphalt of the street, drenched completely with the female's bloodshed and rain. The clothes covering the body was dark red with blood, tears, and some parts shredded.

The man's voice, as he gently closed his eyes, wasn't heard to those nearby due from the thundering rain. "I am sorry, my love. We will see each other soon. That, I can promise." With his final words, the male softly set the drenched body down and moved back for room. He reached into his soggy coat pocket to reveal a large knife he had (incase of emergencies) and rose the gleaming blade to his throat. The ever watching crowd behind him gasped in horror as he pulled the dagger to the side, pressed harshly against his neck. Then he swiped the glaring blade across his rain covered throat, creating screams of unimaginable horror, with blood spraying beautifully into the air. The man's body thunked loudly to the ground, the crying knife clanking as it reached the asphalt, both making a large pool of blood around the lovers.

A man in the crowd nearby narrowed his violet eyes, inspecting the scene closely, before turning around and walking gracefully, silently, and genuinely unfazed, away. His white coat was perfectly dry with the other articles of clothing.

If anyone were to be watching, they would of witnessed this mysterious man vanish into nothing. Any traces of him there nonexistent.
