I'm Harmony Elazia Smith and I'm 17 I stay with my mom, my dad left us when I was 6. All I ever wanted was to have my dad by my side through all the bullshit of school and making friends. I wish he was there to see his baby girl grow into a beautiful young woman. He was never there to take me to Father & Daughter Dances. He won't be there to walk me down the isle and give me his blessing . Ever since my dad's departure my mom has been grinding to be a breadwinner and make ends me for us. I admire that. I looked for love in all the wrong places tryna fill a void that will never be filled. I been burned over and over the wounds still fresh on my heart. Ive been beaten down emotionally and mentally. Growing up without a father did something to my spirit it weaken me but made me strive to prove I would be successful without him.
Anyway I'm a Senior bout to graduate in six months. I have my license and I currently have a job and I play sports. I'm one of those girls who mainly stay to herself, but socialize when needed . For the most part I'm a quiet nerd. At my school its this boy named Lucas, all the girls have a crush on him every one thinks he's so fine. Him and his squad are the most known in the school, but he don't fool me ik he be slanging drugs in the streets I peep everything.
Today is the first day of school so decide to dress up a gotta be cute. I stretch do my hygiene routine and get dressed I grab my bag, keys, phone, and head down stairs.
"GoodMorning sweety kins, " said my mom.
"Morning"
"I have to work late tonight and have a good day at school"
"Mom you are really overworking yourself and I will. I love you"

I hopped in my car and sped off with the speakers blasting. I roll up to Hardee's for some breakfast then rode to school. I walk in and my best Giselle ran up to me.
"Hey GiGi"
"Hey bitch, damn you looking sexy boo"
"Girl dont gas me up"
"Aye work it, do a 360"
I twirl in a circle and pose at the end then we laugh at each other's silliness.

I'm Giselle Tah' Jahnae Mitchell I'm 17 and The best friend of "Moni". We've been friends since middle school. At first she was shy as hell when we first met but she broke out her shell with me and we bonded over our dads being absent. I guess where were made to be friends I love her to death idk where I would be without her.

We walk to our 1st block early and I ended up bumping into something and falling flat on my ass. I look up to see the one and only Kid Lucas, he smiles down at me and extends his hand to me, I grab it and stand to me feet and dust the back of my dress off.
"Ohh shit my bad ma, that was my fault"
"Its cool"
His girlfriend Bhria walks up looking me up and down.
"Hey baby, who is this and why you talking to her"
"My name Harmony...."
"I wasn't talking to you"
"Its okay bae chill I bumped into her and I was apologizing"

"Moni we gotta go before we late" said GiGi.
I glance at my watch and realize she right.
"Yeah let's go"
We brush past Lucas, Bhria, and the rest of his squad, and make our way to class. We settle yourself in our seats and eat our breakfast she had went to McDonald's. After we finished eating we trashed our bags and got a things prepared for class as students started piling in. Next thing ik Lucas and Kaiden walk in and sit across from me and GiGi.
I though to myself this should be a interesting first block.
