I looked up. A boy with black fluffy hair had his hand gently on mine. “Are you alright, you seem very pale, and why are you crying.” He asked worriedly
“Um, well I um… I’m new here and I’m not sure what to do and I-u-um don’t have anywhere to go home.” I nervously said. I looked away not meeting his eyes. As I got up I calmly asked “hey are you a meister or weapon.”
“Meister. And you?” he asked casually.
“I’m a meister as well. Hey you wanna go meet some fellow new student and see if we can’t find some weapons together.” I said looking him straight in the eye emotionlessly. He nodded and smiled. And we set off to go to the orientation for new students’ right after school.
As we walked down the labyrinth- like halls, we got to know a little bit about each other. Not anything to deep or extravagant, like our life long history. I think he could tell that was a sore subject for me. Since only a few minutes ago I had said I had no home to go too. It turned out we had a few things in common. We were interested in the same things, and kinda had the same mindset.
“Here we are.” Nico (the boy’s name that I had discovered) said as came up to some large wooden doors to the left. They were welcomingly open. As we walked in we saw that there where many more student there than either of us expected. At most one-hundred kids, ranging in ages, although it seemed people of the same age where grouped together. We went to the group that all looked about fourteen. They were all talking in a mingled mummer of chatter. Just as we attempted to join in any conversation the teacher called for us to be quiet.
“Know remember for finding a partner don’t go only choosing your friends just because actually see if your wavelengths match.” Sid-sensei said. “Because I was the type of man who was studious about that.” He added.
Me and Nico nodded and wondered off talking to random kids seeing if anyone clicked. Nico eventually went off to talk to girl who didn’t really seem his style but the seemed to get along really well. As I left them alone to connect or whatever I saw two weapons talking to each other. I seemed really drawn to them. I went up to them.
“Was’sup?” I said kindly but with a note of high authority in my voice. Good to make a impression I guess. They looked at me understandingly.
“Hello my name is Tetuki and his is my sister Akira, we are both weapons.” Tetuki said nonchalantly. He seemed like he didn’t give a care to the entire world, like something on the lines of ‘eh? The world exploded. Well shit. Meh oh well, it was bound to happen.’ Akira seemed rather shy and has a mysterious quietness around her. These two are awesome I thought.
“So I’m a meister and I was wondering would you guys be my weapons, the both of you.” I said. They looked rather surprised and at the suddenness of the question. I seemed to have gotten their attention. But being the quiet type, when they are actually focus intently on you it seemed to give you an x-ray and stare right into your soul. It was extremely intense; I had never experienced such intent eyes. They continued this for another two minutes that felt like an eternity. Finally the short lived eternity ended and they sighed reassured and nodded.
“Yea that seems cool.” Tetuki said.
“Mm-hmm, that sounds awesome nice to meet you partner.” She said coolly but I could see had slightly blushed. In step we all walked up to Sid-sensei we have partnered up. He looked up at the three of us.
“All three of you? That’s going to be even harder to match your soul wavelengths.” Sid said.
“Yes, I’m positive can we fill the form now?” I said, almost ordering. He gave us the forms. We each filled them out and gave them to him.
“So do you guys have a real job? And what are we gonna do, live in an apartment together or something?” I asked slightly confused. I truthfully didn’t know.
“Yea we have an apartment already you can live us, we have a spare guest room you can make yours.” Akira said kindly.
I sighed in reassurance. “Ok good, I’ll get a job too; you see I only just moved here.” I said rather admittingly. As we were walking out the door, a girl around our age ran into us dropping her books.
“Oh my god! I’m so, so, so sorry!” she yelped. I bent down helping her pick stuff up. “Thank you so much. Um, my name is Yukiko” Yukiko smiled. I retuned the smile while handing her the last book.
Tetuki, Akira and I left all left heading to home. I had to stop and get my 2 suitcases. This was all my belongings, only two suitcases. But they didn’t seem to mind. This might not be as bad I thought. I had already made friends, and I had partners right off the bat.
~~We are now at the apartment and I have settled into the place. It’s around 8:00 p.m. ~~
“Hey just to let you know we aren’t the average weapons. We are more powerful then you expect. We actually have three different forms. One of which we have yet to master.” Tetuki said very seriously.
I looked at them confidently. “Well I’m not your average meister either.” I said to them grinning wildly.
