First Day of Being A Junior

Millie POV

My alarm clock rang. I was excited to wake up and go to school. I know that's weird but I love going to school not because of the actual school part but because I get to see my friends and go to the few classes I actually enjoy.

I got out of my queen sized bed and walked into my walk in closet. My house is two stories, the first story is for the kitchen, my parents bedroom, the living room, and the dining room. Upstairs is my room, my sister Ava's room, and a guest bedroom for visitors.

I picked out a presentable but comfy outfit for the day. A flowy black skirt, a white blouse, my white converse, and let my hair stay down because what's the hassle anyways?

I grabbed my backpack that was heavy with supplies and grabbed my phone and keys. Outside was my blue Jeep, let's just say I love Jeeps!

Anyways, I got in my car and headed to school.

At School:

I walk up the steps to Hawkins High School. There I met up with my best friends Sadie, Noah, and Finn.

Sadie was looking beautiful as always in a flowery blouse and ripped blue jeans. Her hair was flowing a bit in the light wind and it was kinda curled. She wore a little bit of make up and was wearing high heels with flowers decorating the laces on top. In other words she was definitely making a first day back impression.

Noah had his hair somewhat gelled and was wearing a white shirt with a flannel on top. He too was wearing blue jeans but with a pair of black high tops.

Finn was also wearing a white shirt but with a Jean jacket instead. With a pair of blue jeans and black and white converse of course. His curly hair also bouncing a bit in the wind.

"Hey!" Sadie said as she ran down and gave me a hug. Noah smiled and waved. "Ready for another year of high school?" Finn came down as well and put his arm on my shoulders. We all together walked down the hall to find our lockers.

It turned out we were lucky and got lockers relatively close to each other. Sadie was right next to me, Noah's across the hall but same place, and Finn was right next to Noah. Like I said super lucky. It was nice to know that they were right there and that I would be able to talk to them.

We all got our schedules and looked at each other's. First period, me and Finn, second period, me, third period, me Sadie and Noah, fourth period or advisory, me, lunch, all of us, fifth, me and Sadie, sixth, me, seventh, me and Noah, and the last period was me and Finn again.

A good schedule so far.

"Well then, we should go ahead and go" Finn nudged towards me and he again put his arm over my shoulders and we waved goodbye to Sadie and Noah as we went in opposite directions.

"So what class are we headed to again mills?"
Finn questioned as we walked to class together.

"First is math. I bet you five bucks that math class is gonna suck." I smirk as I say this knowing I'm going to be right and get five bucks.

"Great. Might as well just give you five bucks right now. There's no point even trying." He says reaching for his wallet and hands me a five  dollar bill.

"Thanks now I can get extra for lunch" I say laughing cause I just couldn't keep it to myself.

"Oh whatever" he rolls his eyes but still smiles.

We finally get to class and we find two empty seats right next to each other. As I get ready for math another boy sits next to me and puts out his hand.

"Hi, I'm Jacob. I'm new here and I thought I just to meet the pretty girl next to me." This made me blush because I had to admit he was kinda cute.
I'm sorry I couldn't come up with any other person so just go with it😅

"Oh um hi I'm Millie." I reached over to shake his hand trying to hide the fact that I was blushing.
"Pretty name too, well aren't you just a cutie." He winked at me causing my cheeks to heat up even more.
"Where are you from?" I asked trying to make casual conversation.
"New York but my parents wanted to take a break from everything so they came here. Now I'm glad they did." Again he said this smiling at me and I think somewhat checking me out.

Thank the lord the teacher started teaching that way I could get enough time to settle down and maybe not blush as much.

Finn POV

This guy came over to sit by Millie. He looks new. Then I heard their conversation. I don't like him at all. It's not that I have a crush on Millie or anything I just don't get a good feeling about him, not one bit.

So I just decided to look towards the front of classroom til finally the teacher started going through the boring basics and whatnot.

...

Finally the bell rang and Millie and I started to walk out together. Then Jacob came in and said he was headed to the same class as Millie. So basically I got left to go to class alone while lovebirds over there go to History together.

I'm not jealous! I just don't like that guy. I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous. She's my best friend. I don't like Jacob. That's it.
