A new Advanture

Chapter 1

Aki's POV

After having traveled for what felt like forever, we approach a bridge, and decided to cross it. It leaded to a gate, where a few men were standing. One of them did a few steps forward, to greet us.

"Welcome dare travelers, did you had a safe trip?" The guy asked.
"Yes, we did, thank you. Can we stay here for a few? We don't have a home to return to anymore," my father said, and the guy welcomed us both, and told us his name.

"Well, nice to meet you mister Rusl, I'm Tatenious, and this is my son Aki. Our village has vanished from the earth. We don't know how it happened, or the person or being that made it happen," my father said.

"I'm sorry to hear that, stay as long as you want," Rusl said, and he let us inside his house.
"We have a spare room upstairs, but there's only one bed," Rusl said, when the evening came around. Just then, a young man walked in with kid.

"Papa," the kid said, and rushed over to Rusl who keeled down and hugged him up in his arms. So I assume that that is his son.

"Hi Rusl, is dinner ready yet?" the young man around my age asked.
"Don't worry, my wife is working on it," Rusl said and smiled at the blondie.

Link's pov

"Oh, Link, this is Tatenious and his son Aki. From what I've heard they are from the same village as you came from," Rusl said, and I looked at the two newlings. Then I recognized them at once. Tatenious was the head of the government from my hometown!

I couldn't believe my own eyes! How come that they didn't got swallowed along by the darkness that's day? Not that I wanted them to or anything, but still, how did they do that!?

Anyways, I shrugged it off, and sat at my fast spot around the dinner table, and soon after Uli -Rusl's wife- came into the dining room with cups of soup. Once everyone had a cup, we thanked for the food, and digged in. It tasted really good, like always. As aspect from Uli.

"Oh, Link?" Rusl asked.

"Yea?" I asked, and let my spoon rest for a moment.

"We only have one spear room, so I was thinking that Aki could stay at your place for now? If you don't mind of course," Rusl asked, and said with a smile at the end. I then looked at Aki shortly out of the corner of my eye, and then back at Rusl.

"Yea, sure. I start to get a little bit lonely at home. It would be nice to have someone around," I said, and smiled at both Rusl and Aki.

Then, after dinner, Aki and I said our goodbyes to the others, and went to my house, a few meter up ahead. It's at a quiet and nice place, surrounded by a few trees. It is already pitch black outside, and I don't see well, when all of a sudden a nice soft light appeared from next to me. I looked at Aki who had grown butterfly-wings! It looked good on him though, but I was still surprised. He then looked at me, and said, " what is it?"

"Ah, no, it's nothing. I'm just, surprised. I had no idea you could do that!"

"Well, I am supposed to protect the people from the darkness, so, it's only logical that I can grow things from the light, like these wings," Aki said, and looked up at the sky. There weren't any clouds tonight, so a whole sea of stars could be seen. Aki stood still for a moment, looking at the moon.

"People find the night scary, but I don't. The moon is the sun from the night, that also gives me the power of light to drive creatures of the dark away from those who are being attacked by them, or being frightened by them," Aki said, and looked at me again, and smiled.

"Do you want to know how I drive those creatures away, Link? Because I believe I feel one by the gate," Aki said, and looked at where the gate is.

"Uh..." I was dumbfounded, but he only smiled and dragged me by the wrist, and started flying!

"H-hey, hold on a second!" I said, while I ran along with him ,and almost got tilted up into the air as well. We got past Rusl's house, who looked outside the window, and saw us coming by.

I didn't see it, but I just know that Rusl and Tatenious got outside and rushed after us.

Once we arrived at the gate, Aki let go of my wrist after he had pulled me all the way over the gate, and like he said, a creature with a dark energy coming of from it, stood at the other side of the bridge. Once it knew we were here, it started to walk towards us, it was a pretty slow one though, but still a little bit scary.

Aki seemed to enjoy himself, as he said a few thinks in the dialect from our home village, he didn't loose sight of the creature, while he hold his right hand up in the air, towards the moon, and said," gods of light, give me the power of the moon to drive away the dark and the evil."

A few rays coming from the moon, light up in his hand, and all of a sudden there was a flute!?

The creature was almost in front of us, when Aki placed the mouthpiece of the flute in front of his lips, waiting for the right moment. He then started to blow,and melodies could be heard, along with other music, but mostly the flute.

He didn't say anything, but I felt something coming from him that told me to stay where I stood ,and so I did. He jumped, and flew up in the air to get the creature's attention, that he got. When the song had ended, it was still here, so Aki tried another song, where the flute was a lot harder. This time it seemed to hurt the creature's ears or something, because it growled, and covered his ears, while closing it's eyes tightly.

I felt Aki smirking, and he flew higher, forming a silhouette in the moon, and his wings seemed to have become bigger. The light of the moon shone trough them, and the rays of light that came trough his wings, turned into pure daylight, letting the creature scream, and evaporate into nothing...
