Silence...besides some occasional remarks and the sound of knives and forks scraping across the plates like nails on a chalkboard. Ten Minutes by Tractor, a popular restaurant where tourists come from far and wide to observe the spectacular view and splendid food. The sun is constantly glistening through the large windows to enlighten tables garnished with white tablecloths like fresh fallen snow and fancy silver wear among plates. It's as if they were almost blending into the tablecloth. I have been a waitress here for just over a year now, and it's like home.

"Lizzy! My best friend Rosie called. Like most people I know, she calls me Lizzy. "Leo said he wants you to go back to his house straight after your shift" she continues, popping her head around the corner with the main phone in her hand.

"OK thanks Rosie" I reply getting back to piling used dishes into the sink. Leo is my older brother. He doesn't live with mum and me anymore. He moved out once he turned 18. But he still loves my company, and I love his.
