Fancied|Chapter 2

{Same outfit as before}

The rest of my classes are a blur. At first I thought I was just overthinking things which is typical, but now I feel like I have feelings toward Finn. I'm not lying when I say I felt something more than just the touch of his hand, and I think he felt it too.

When school is over I get on my bike and go over to the dollar store before I go home. I pull out 2 dollars to buy Ranch Sunflower Seeds and Coke. While I'm in line to check out I get a tap on the shoulder. I turn around expecting it to be my sister Emma or Lola. Oh my god. I feel my face heat up. It's Finn.

"Oh hey Finn what's up?" I say trying to act normal.

"Hey y/n, do you live around here?" He asks.

"Yes I live at the entrance to Kiwanis. So yeah. Down the street. Do you live around these parts?" I ask, and immediately want to commit suicide.

"Yeah I live near barber rode so not as close as you, but not far. Still walking distance." I nod, and the lady gives me my change and my stuff.

"Do you want to go to Kiwanis?" Finn asks, and I smile.

"Sure but I have to ask first." I say to Finn. He nods and we both walk outside.

When I got on my bike I immediately noticed a problem.

"Can I ride on your pegs?" He asks.

"Sure but know I'm a little rusty so you have a 76% chance of dying" I say, honestly.

Finn laughs and gets on the back of my pegs. It starts off a little twitchy,but it got better as we kept going.

We ride the back way, and when the big hill comes I say to Finn "Your chances of crying increased. My breaks don't work". As we went down the big hill I could hear Finn screaming.

"You sound like a little girl." I say, and he roles his eyes.

"Whatever. Sorry I'm not a fearless rebellion like you are y/n" Finn says smiling.

When we get to my house my mom is waiting at the side porch, and I wave to her.

"Hey hun. Who's your friend?" She asks turning to Finn.

"This is Finn. I wanted to know if I can go to Kiwanis with him?" I ask.

"Sure. Be home in an hour." She says as she walks inside. Emma then walks out, my sister.

"Hey y/n have you seen Niko in school?" She asked.

"No I haven't. Why?" I respond.

"Oh he's just part of my musical and he hasn't been coming to practices. Did I mention he's a main role?" Emma says in an exaggerated breath.

"Well I haven't seen him." I said.

"Are you talking about Niko Yardsnade?" Finn buds in.

"Yes, have you seen him or anything?" Emma asks Finn.

"He's my brothers friend, and my brother told me that he ran away from home." Finn says.

"What? Seriously? Is he okay? Where did he go?" Emma asks in a cluster of questions.

"I'm not sure. That's all I know. I heard my brother talking about it this morning." Finn says.

"Well thanks. I'll have to have a fill-in for his role, but I honestly hope he is okay." Emma says as she walks inside. Finn and I head down to Kiwanis.
