Young kid with a big heart,
Young kid whose family broke apart,
Young kid with so much love,
Young kid who hasn't asked for much from up above,
Yet she blossomed and grew,
Forced to sit, listen and sing in a red church pew,
No one knew, deep inside was a young kid that couldn't deal with what she'd been through,
So shy and unspoken,
A shame some too blind to see she was a golden token,
Year after year, you'd rarely see her shed a tear,
Barred barriers and wingless angels always seemed to appear,
Nevertheless,
Young kid was destined to be blessed.
