I, too, am broken.
I am the darker sister.
Burdened with all the trials, obstacles and pain
That those on the outside won't be able to obtain.
But I smile.
And get up, no matter what's in my way.
Not really pretending to be happy and glad to live another day.
Tomorrow.
I'll vanquish my vices.
And when that time comes.
I'll dare to restart my life with.
A blank slate, like the whitest of rices.
No one will be able to say that I won't make it
then.
Besides,
They'll see the potential that was always in me, which reeked but silently lied within thee
And be contrite, along with that awful feeling of envy.
I, too, am broken.
