Chapter Ten

A/N: I'm so sorry for not being able to update, I've been busy with school work. But guess what? I've decided to make this the last chapter. I think you guys are going to be surprised at the end! Enjoy!

"That was fun," Alice said smiling.

"No, that was horrible, you could have lost my hat," Gilbert replied.

"Well I didn't seaweed head."

"Can you two please stop with the arguing? We need to get to the inn."

"Right," Alice said walking ahead of them.

Gilbert glanced at Oz, then looked ahead.

"Is everything alright Oz?"

"What do you think, Break is captured because of..... And then there's you.... "

"Listen, I understand-"

"No, you don't because you were never here."

Oz walks ahead of Gilbert, who walks faster. In about three minutes there at the inn.

"Wow great room," Alice laid down on the bed. In an instant she was asleep.

"She hasn't changed has she?" Gilbert asked.

"Guess not, but I know a few other people who haven't changed," Oz snapped.

He walked out of the room, Gilbert followed behind him and closed the door. It was 11:00pm, it was late.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Gilbert asked.

"Nothing," Oz took of his coat and put it up.

"Don't do that Oz."

"Do what? All I'm saying is that things are still the same with you."

"Things have changed."

"And how would you know? You haven't been here for the past, what three months?" Oz shook his head.

"Oz-"

"Just forget it Gilbert, you obviously don't care," he walked out of the room and walked down the hallway and outside into the night. Gilbert cursed and followed after him, making sure that the door was locked.

(Has anyone else noticed that Oz has stopped calling "Gilbert" Gil?)

Gilbert caught up to Oz in a minute, he grabbed his arm bringing him to a stop.

"What do you mean I don't care?"

"Exactly that, now let go."

Oz tried​ to get his arm out of Gilbert's grip, but that only made him hold on tighter.

"Let go of me Gilbert."

"No, why on earth would you ever think that I don't care?"

"Because it's true!" Oz yelled, still trying to get out of his hold.

"That's not true."

"Yes it is, all of this is your fault!" he said pushing Gilbert.

He stumbled back and frowned, looking at Oz. Gilbert grabbed Oz by the wrist and marched him over to a small building.

"I care about Break and you, I always have."

"NO YOU HAVEN'T, IF YOU REALLY DID THEN YOU WOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT!"

"I had to, that's why I left to protect you!"

"I don't need your protection Gilbert! I'm fine by myself, you should have just let me burned in the house!"

"I'm not your enemy Oz!"

"Well, to me you are."

"When will you get it through your head Oz?!"

"Get what through my head?"

"I love you, gosh Oz I love you so much."

"Be quiet."

"Why? It's true, that's why I came back, that's why I've stayed with you all this time."

"Just shut up! I don't need your love! The only thing that love does is hurt you over and over again!" he started crying.

Gilbert stayed silent, oz cried harder.

"Love killed my sister, I can't.... "

Gilbert grabbed his chin and titled it up to look at him.

"Gilbert-"

He was cut off by the feel of Gilbert's lips on his own. He froze, he don't know what to do. After a minute, Gilbert pulled away. Oz stared at him, wide eyed. Gilbert chuckled softly and wiped his tears away.

"Why did you.... "

"I already told you Oz, I love you."

"I-"

He was cut off by an explosion coming from the inn that they stayed in. They both ran towards the commotion. They saw Alice..... Well the B-rabbit. Gilbert took out his guns. Oz could see the Baskervilles facing Alice.

"Hey, get away from her," Oz yelled.

They looked at him and smiled, line of the members attacked Alice from behind, knocking her out.

"Alice," Oz made a move towards her. Gilbert caught his arm.

"Gilbert what are you doing? Let go, Alice needs help."

The girl laughed, she walked over to us. Gilbert showed no signs of trying to stop her.

"You're the one who needs help. Bit thanks to Gilbert here, that's already taken care of."

"W-what are you talking about? "
Oz looked at Gilbert. "What is she talking about?"

"He didn't tell you?"

"Sarah," Gilbert's tone held warning.

"He brought​ you here so we could take you away. Finally capture you and your little rabbit."

"Your lying!" Oz yelled.

"Ask Gilbert."

Oz looked at him, "She's lying right?"

Gilbert looked at him, staying silent.

"Gilbert?"

"Oz, I'm sorry.... "

"No, stop lying Gilbert, you would never lie to us. We're family."

Gilbert frowned, "Forgive me Oz, I truly am sorry."

Gilbert touched his forehead softly, the last thing Oz saw was Gilbert's face before he faded into darkness.
