Chapter one " The truth...."

Sophia's pov

I sighed and looked at the clock it was 12:04 am I had been cleaning for two hours. I sigh and say to myself " Gosh I swear cleaning this house will be the death of me..." I put down the cloth I was using to clean and walk into the Library that I had I mean it was small but it was nice. I grabbed a random book off the shelf and as by magic a book fell from a shelf next to me I put the random book I had picked up back on the shelf. I was interested in what the book that had fallen was about I slowly walked over and picked it up the book had no title " Odd..." I thought. I opened it up I was expecting a title but INSTED found my father's handwriting and a letter to me saying

Dear Sophia
      Sophia if you find this there's something you should know about your mother you see she lives in the Caribbean, you also have two older brothers. Your oldest brother's name is James Hamilton and your second oldest brother's name is Alexander. I know this must be shocking but it's the truth I know I should have told you sooner but I couldn't bring myself to. Don't forget that your father loves you.

I stood there shocked and wondered if they were still alive...I hoped they were. I was taken out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on the door I rushed over to see who it was. I opened the door and saw GayturtleBoi aka John Laurens. " Hello Jakie." I said smiling at my best friend. " Hey Soph!..." He said he seemed kind of on edge. " John whats wrong you seem troubled?" I asked he replied " Well you see I'm...I'm joining the Revolution....". " Excuse me what!? John you could die!" I said I was even more shocked. " Sophia I know...I know there's a risk I could die but hey We could win and America will be free from those rubbish britts!" He said smiling. I sighed and said " Well if your joining them I'm joining to!" " Wait whhhhaaaaat!?" He said his eyes widened. " John your my best friend if your go I'm going to." I said " well I guess I can't stop you..." He then added " I got and extra uniform if you need one?". " Yea I'll need it." I said smiling. John went to his horse Shelby and grabbed the extra uniform and handed it to me. " I'll be back shortly." I said and walked to my bedroom and closed the door of course and changed I looked in the mirror and saw a strong young lady not a man I noticed my hair was way to long I sighed and grabbed my knife and chopped my hair down to shoulder length. I smirked as I saw that I looked like a man I fixed my hair in a ponytail and walked back to John. " How do I look?" I asked " Like a guy." John said blankly. I laughed and grabbed my horse Mary and got on. " Ready to go Soph?" John asked " I was born ready!" I say excitedly we started to head towards camp.
