Twirling. Gliding. Turning.....
Dancing.
"Come," he said. The words rolling off his tongue and filling the air. He held out his hand.
Reaching up I grabbed his hand, the cold seeping into my bones. He pulled me up, my ballgown swirling around my legs. He guided me to the middle of the floor. His dark eyes boring into mine, his pale skin glowing under the light. His boney hand encircled my waist. Then...... we danced.

"Go!! Go with Kate! Hurry," she whispered hastily.
"But mummy I wanna shay wit you," the young child said with tears.
"Mummy has to go away for awhile," she said with sadness laced in the words.
Shouts from nearby startled the three.
"Go now! Go," she yelled while pushing the girl into the arms of the maid.
Before the maid could escape, the door of their hiding spot was viscously ripped off its hinges. All three screamed as men drenched in red carrying swords poured in. Tripping the little girl hit her head and the last thing she saw was her mother screaming for her.
