Chapter 1

"Drew! Lucas! Stop being so annoying!" McKenna yelled. Her uncle, aunt, father, and stepmother were quite confused. They saw nobody, but McKenna insisted that they were there.

Sure, everyone has had there fair share of imaginary friends at one point. But has anyone had imaginary friends, who were supposed to actually be alive?

You see, Drew was supposed to be McKenna's cousin. He was a stillborn. His father, Mike, was constantly in the basement of their home, making toys for his son who never had the chance to live.

In McKenna's mind, Lucas and Drew were best friends. Lucas died, along with his mother, in a car crash about 2 years ago. His father, David, was always a nervous wreck. There wasnt a time that you saw him where he wasnt pacing or tapping his fingers. He lost his wife and his son, how else was he supposed to act.

Now we have the twins, Alex and Alexa. You see, some may call this murder, some may not, but their mother Jessica, or Jessie as some may say, had "them" aborted. Since McKenna could not tell if Jessie was to have a boy or girl, she created the twins.

McKenna's mother had died of a drug overdose about a year before. Because of this, McKenna idolized her stepmother, Maxianne. Maxianne was a golddigging whore, who was only going to take as much money as she could from McKenna's father, Ryan.

Even though she did not have her mother in her life, McKenna had something to resemble her mother. A doll named Christie, which was the same name her mother had. The doll also resembled her mother through her appearance. She had black, jacked up hair, a dirty, old blue dress, and messed up makeup.

"Alex and Alexa, you guys are so gross!" McKenna exclaimed to her creations. Since they were a figment of her imagination, she controlled their movement and what they said.

"Its not bad McKenna! Try it!" Alex "said". He held out some of the mud he was playing in.

"Ew no! Thats so disgusting! Get away from me!" All of a sudden, the twins disappeared. McKenna liked having this power. Since she couldnt force an actual person to go away, she made these "people" so she could. Control was one McKenna always wanted. She controlled her father and her stepmother. Whatever she wanted, she got, when she wanted it. You do not tell McKenna no. If you did, she would always find a way to get back at you.

"McKenna! Time for lunch!" McKenna's aunt Kim yelled.

"C'mon guys! We're gonna get something to eat!" She yelled to her creations. Kim always wanted to question her niece's imaginary friends. She knew something wasnt right. Especially when she referred to some as Lucas and Drew. Kim and Mike had talked about Drew many times during the pregnancy, but never expected McKenna to remember. As for Lucas, well, Lucas was always with McKenna. Kim babysat the two of them so they knew each other. Hearing those two names together really confused Kim. Maybe it was just a coincidence she would think. But it never crossed her mind that her niece's imaginary friends were actually alive, or supposed to be at one point.
