The hearts of the hikers pounded in their chests as they ran through the twisted windy forest. The rain was pelting down on them as they tried to find shelter . They found a cave that was carved from the side of the mountain and decided to stay there for the night until the rain has stopped. The hikers awoke the next morning to the glowing light and warmth from the sun filling into the cave. Outside the cave they noticed an alluring lake, clean enough to drink out of.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm having a drink" one man exclaimed dropping to his hands and knees, him mouth skimmed across the water as he drank. The cold refreshing liquid flowing down his throat. His comrades chuckled at his antics but also got onto their hands and knees to quench their thirst.

"Hey get away from my lake!" a voiced shouted towards the men. "Get away I said!" she exclaimed again storming towards them. "Actually ma'am, this can't be your lake, it's in the middle of the forest" The man tried to explain to the older woman in front of him and his friends.

"This is my lake and hear my warning!" If you drink from this lake again you will suffer the consequences and your family would suffer too. All because of you!" The woman shouted at the men before disappearing into the forest.

The men ignored her warnings and continued to drink from the lake. When they returned home they told their families about the adventure and the woman's warnings. But, one by one they all started disappearing, never to be seen again. Over the years their families forgot about the adventure that they were told and the warnings.

No one else had hiked through the forest that their ancestors went through, until a group of 12 children all defendants from the hikers go to a camp in that same forest.

One day they decided they would hike through the woods. While everyone was getting ready for the adventure Audrey, Casey, Maddie, Skylar, Harmony and Zoe packed some fruit for the hike while Jake, Chase, Hunter, Jacob, Dan and Jullian gathered items to play a prank on the girls later.

By lunch time they set off towards the forest. Not many animals inhabit this side of the forest but they travelled on not knowing where they were heading through the twisted windy forest . Through the dark twisted branches they saw a glistening blue lake surrounded by bright flowers of all colours and decided to rest. They all went to quench their thirst from the lake when a booming voice yelled,

"Beware! Those who drink from this lake will suffer the same fait as their ancestors!" The kids ignored the warnings they were given and drank from the lake. "I warned you! The same as your ancestors!" the voice echoed in their heads before floating away like the wind.

When they arrived back to camp they found something unusual, on top of their beds carved into the wood were words. Not just any words, they were phobia's marking their fate that they have to fulfil. As the girls were getting ready for bed Maddie was looking at the phobias above the beds.

"Hemophobia, Entophobia, Genuphobia, Arachnophobia, Nyctohylophobia and Selaphobia. What does it all mean?" "They're phobia's" Zoe answered sarcastically rolling her eyes. "No I mean why are they above our beds? What if -?" Maddie got cut off by two sharp knocks on the door. "I'll get it!" Casey ran and opened the door.

"There's no on - Ahhh!!" Casey let out a deafening scream before collapsing on the floor with spiders on her. At this moment, the words Arachnophobia carved at the top of Casey's bed started glowing to show she has completed her fate.

"What happened to Casey?" Zoe asked. Audrey walked outside to see all the boys rolling around laughing. "I think I know what's going on!" Maddie screamed making all the boys silent. "What if your phobia's are based of how you died in our past life? Think about it. Then the water we drank at the lake made the phobias so strong we die?" Maddie has always been superstitious but for once everyone agreed because deep down, they believed that too.

With the help of the boys they lay Casey's body on her bed before they all went to sleep. 'Bang!' Thunder could be heard from outside. The loud noise woke everyone but Dan who has Ligyrophobia as well as Hunter who has Tonitrophobia as they both passed out.

Not long after a flash of lightning seeped through the windows and soon Skylar also went int the sleep like nightmare. From the storm outside made all the power in the cabins go out leaving the children in the dark scared with Chase who had Myctophobia passed out with them. All of their phobias now glowing like Casey's.

To get their minds off their friends they decided to go see the animals in the farmyard at the camp. It was unusual for a camp to have a farmyard but they wanted to have their campers to experience everything. As it was hot today Jacob decided to wear shorts, which showed his knees. When Zoe took one look at his knees her brain went into overdrive and she collapsed onto Harmony knocking her down as well.

"A little help here" Harmony exclaimed struggling to get her friend off her. Once she was placed onto her bed with a sheet draped over her under the glowing phobia they wandered to the farmyard. As Jacob was running his hand across the wooden fence he scratched his hand making it start bleeding.

When Harmony went to see if he was alright she fainted from Aemophobia while Jacob fainted from Amychophobia. The others did not notice the two missing friends as their minds were off of the phobias and their dying friends. Audrey, Maddie and Jullian came back to reality when Jake saw the group of horses off in the field and fainted because off Hippophobia and landed in a patch of cow poo.

Audrey took Harmony, Maddie had Jacob while Jullian had Jake and they carried, or more like dragged them back to their beds for their eternal sleep. That night Audrey, Maddie and Jullian were sitting in a circle in the girls cabin. Maddie heard something buzzed pass her ear and then land on her shoulder. She looked down and let out a loud screech. Because there sitting harmlessly on her shoulder was an insect.

"Entomophobia" Audrey sighed as she grabbed Maddie's wrists while Jullian grabbed her anckles to place her on the bed. 'Screech!" came a noise from outside. They both ran out and saw their phobia's sending them into an eternal slumber and making their phobias to start glowing.

Jullian saw a bat resting on a tree while Audrey saw the dark wooded area. A figure came from the forest and placed Jullian in the bed with Chiroptophibia carved into the wall and Audrey was placed into the bed with Nyctohylophobia carved onto the wall.

When the children were in their internal sleep, a realm between life and death. Every minute they would have to go through their phobia's until Audrey had enough and took over her fear. Day by day she became stronger and confident in herself while the glowing carving dimmed until one day she awoke. She no longer had Nyctohylophobia and was now no longer carved above her bed.

Every day she would whisper in her friends ears "Believe in yourself, don't give into your fears." One by one they all conquered their fears except for Jacob and he was forever stuck in the realm between life and death. He watched them all grow up, have families, grow old and eventually die. Every year that passed his friends all one by one started forgetting him thinking that their adventure to the lake and him was all a dream
