My grogginess went away in a snap.

"That serious?" I asked, hoping this was some kind of nightmare.

"I don't know. Liam, as soon as you're done meeting with him, go to the office."

"Wow, you're asking me to work as soon as I get home. Maybe I should ask for an extended vacation." When dad didn't reply, I knew it was something serious, but he can't tell me over the phone. "What's going on, dad?"

"You'll find out when you get here. See you in a few hours."

"Yeah, see you later, dad."

Maia stirred as I placed the phone back on the nightstand. She blinked a couple of times before she spoke.

"Was that your dad?" I nodded as I moved closer to her, our naked bodies touching again.

"Did I wake you up?"

"No...but it sounded like something urgent came up..." I would have told her what my dad and I talked about, but this involves her, so I kind of ignored her comment by shrugging and changing the topic.

"I don't want to get out of bed. I just want to stay here, with you, like this..." I said and spooned her. In a sense, it was true. I have no idea with what I'm about to find out about Maia, and there's a part of me that wanted to back out and regret hiring the private investigator – I was snooping behind Maia's back and she's probably going to kill me when she finds out, but...

"In a perfect world, I'd say the same thing too, Liam..." she ended her sentence with a deep sigh. "But we need to go back to reality."

There seemed to be a hint of sadness in her voice.

"I know...but I promise, I'll take you back here again." I replied and planted a light kiss on her neck. I can't help but hear her whimpers and moans again in my head last night. Maia was just stunning, gorgeous, breathtaking...she was a goddess.

Her whimpers almost drove me mad. And that sharp breath she took when I touched her down there, it was enough to drive me insane.

Her hands dug into my hair, gently pulling it with every ragged breath she made.

"Liam...please...I want to...feel you..."

Those words were like magic. And the surprised look on her face when she saw what I was hiding underneath the cotton prison? Priceless.

I have never been this hard. Never. Maia drove every inch of me crazy. All I wanted was to be inside her all the way in one thrust but I had to control myself.

She was so tight...so wet...

She held on to me as I slowly inched my way inside her, I knew she was in pain, but there was no other way to do this.

Maia cried out as I thrusted all the way in her. I kissed the tears running down the sides of her face, wishing it can take away the pain.

"Are you okay?" she nodded and waited a beat before she moved her hips.

"I'll be fine..." she replied as she made another movement under me. I pulled out and thrust into her as gently as I can, filling every inch of her. "Oh, my g-" she didn't get to finish what she was supposed to say as I thrust into her again with a little more speed this time.

"...That feels...so good...don't stop...Liam..." were words that will be forever burned in my memory.

Maia cried out my name as she came...
