At times, a part of you must perish for
the whole of you, the soul of you to live
Life amounts to more than effort put in
Someone must let go, extinguish, give
Stranger it is how burning, ashes, grant life
Like a phoenix, one is obliged to be
To arise from a fire and endure strife
T'is myst'ry, how we need blindness to see
With a piteous fate for you and me,
we dive into this world and are stripped away
of many a things that wish to breathe free
but must be suffocated out of the day
Stay calm, there is no need to fear or lie
Release, but don't forget the past, go fly
Don't mourn death so long as to kill more life.
