I woke to my sister frantically shoving me. Her blue hair was in a pony tail and she was dressed up quite nicely. I had finally remembered when I saw her snake earrings bob as she shook me. "HOGWARTS!!", I screeched. My sister, Lexie, looked taken aback at my sudden outburst. She left my room, waving her hands as if annoyed, as I quickly got dressed into black leggings and a black fluffy sweater. I brushed my red hair but left it down. I rushed out the door to realize that I could just walk to the station, so I walk back in the house to say goodbye to Taylor, Lexie, and Mother. I then run to the train station and walk calmly to platform 9, 3/4. I find an empty cabin on the train and sit. After a while, I see my two sisters walk past me with a girl I don't recognize. I fall asleep knowing that my sister's are okay. I hear a soft but hysterical voice after the cabin door sliding. Ssk... " She looks asleep. How should we wake her? No, that's too evil. " she closes the door. Ssk... " Hey.. ", she whispers. She flicks my nose. I open my eyes and look at her. She's beautiful. She has long, wavy blonde hair and reddish eyes that make you just want to trust them. " I'm Alice. Alice Foster. " she stands straight up. "You are?" I look at her, puzzled for a moment. " H-Hailey.. ", I struggle to say. "Ugh. Hailey..?" she tries to push more out of me. I look away, already knowing her reaction. "Everest.. " I mutter. "Wait, Everest?!" she basically squawks. Her voice got so loud. I nod. " You mean to tell me that you're the daughter of Nicholas Everest?!", I flinch when she mentions my father's name. I nod yet again. " Please don't say his name.. " I mutter. Her voice goes soft again. It almost sounds dreamy. " Alrighty. Can I sit here?", she finally asks. "Sure, " I respond. Someone that looked remarkably alike to Alice barged in. "ALICE OPAL FOSTER. You. You have no idea how long I have searched for you. I AM GOING TO MURDER YOU. Oh, hello dear, I'm Kimberly. You?" she turned to me, which made my face go hot. " Hailey. ", I said, a bit braver than I did to Alice. Kimberly had blonde, straight hair. Paired with it, she wore dark, doll-like blue eyes. She, too, was beautiful. " Anyways, goodnight. ", I said. A while later, I was awoken by a light tapping on my head. I opened my eyes to find Alice and Kimberly, both already in their school robes. " Better get dressed, " Alice said. I nodded and hurried out of our cabin towards the bathroom. I quickly got changed, thinking about how we'd be sorted. That had always been a secret about Hogwarts. When we got to Hogwarts, Professor McGonnagall called us in. We were told to form a line and wait for our name to be called. A few people went up. " Everest, Hailey. " I stumbled up to the stool and sat as McGonnagall placed the hat on my head. It took at least 5 minutes to decide which house I belong. Finally, " HUFFLEPUFF!", it exclaimed. It started laughing in my shock, so I started laughing too, thinking it was a joke. Everyone in my family had been in Slytherin. " No, but seriously you're a Hufflepuff", it said. I rose from the stool absent- mindedly and walked to my table. People were cheering, my sisters were shouting, and I almost used a silencing charm I had read of. After a while of my sisters still shouting, I snuck up behind them at their Slytherin table and murmured the incantation. Immediately, they were silent. I cautiously looked over to Dumbledore, and he winked. Winked? He wasn't mad that I'd used a charm? Oh well, I'm not complaining. I walked over to my seat and waited for instructions on what to do, or for anyone to do something. But all they did was cheer for the rest of the children and look at our Headmaster. I cheered politely for all of the children. Afterwards, Dumbledore said a few words, such as not to go in the third floor corridor. Afterwards, we went to our common rooms to "have some bonding time. ". I spent the rest of the night unpacking all of my Slytherin items and stuffing them into the unfamiliar golden cabinets. I went down to the common room, looking obviously glum. Someone must've seen me, as they grabbed my arm with a strong grip. I turned to look at a handsome young man grabbing me. He let go gently and spoke. " Why so sad? I could tell you didn't want to be a Hufflepuff, but jeez!", he joked. I laughed with him and said, "No, my whole family was in Slytherin. " He looked puzzled. " A Malfoy? In Hufflepuff?" I snickered in his shock. " Everest. ", I corrected. I covered my mouth after I'd realized what I had done. I ran to my bed. I heard him racing back to me. I locked the door to my, along with the three other girls that inhabited it's,room and only allowed the girls in while looking through the keyhole. I took one Slytherin banner out of my cabinet and hung it on the wall my bed faced. That way, only I could see it if my blinds were closed. I got dressed for bed, got in bed, and closed my blinds. The next day was... Eventful.
