It's the next day and today me and my mom have to go to the district office to register me for school, I'm Lowkey excited to start a new school, but nervous because I don't know how people act in Cali, but the district office opens at ten, and Mama said we had a lot of errands to run afterwards. Now it's about 9 am and we live like 15 mins away from the district office, and 5 mins from my school, but we didn't have til 9:45, so I went downstairs and grabbed a pop tart, not healthy but who cares😂
My mom comes downstairs and greets me,
M: Hola mija buenos días( Hi sweetheart good morning) D: hola mama buenos días ( hi mom good morning) M: te ves guapa hoy ( you look pretty today) D: también mamá (so do you mom) M: ¿Estás emocionado de comenzar la escuela? (Are you excited to start school?) D: algo así como solo nervioso ( kind of just nervous) M: aw estarás bien, lo prometo (aw you will be ok I promise) D: Gracias mama, te quiero mucho( thanks mom i love you much) M: De nada mija ahora vamos ( your welcome sweeetheart now let's go) D: Okay
We are in the car, and we are listening to Selena, me and my mom love Selena, we were so sad when we found out about her murder, we were listening to como la flor, it's a great song. About 15-20 minutes later we arrive at the district office, and we walk inside, we are greeted by an older woman. M=mama D=Desi R=Receptionist M: Hola (Hi) R: Hi D: oh um she doesn't speak english very well R: well can you translate for me? She says with a smile on her face D: sure M: yo necesito inscribir a mi hija en la escuela D: She says she need to enroll me in school R: Okay well just fill these out and I'll handle the rest M: Gracias D: She says thank you R: Your welcome
We finished the paperwork and walked back over to her D: Here you go R: thank you She does some typing on her computer R: Okay Ms. Desi Aveces you are officially enrolled in East Middleton high D: Thank you mam' R: Your quite welcome sweet heart, and might I just say you are so beautiful D: aww thank you mam' R: be careful those boys will be all over you D: oh okay I will I laugh and say bye and me and mama head out the door, we ran some errands, such as The grocery store, target, and ikea. We stopped at in n out and grabbed something to eat, we ate and headed home, I am so nervous to start school tomorrow...
Okay I'm really feelin this book so far you guys, and I hope y'all like it, there's not that many reads so far but that's okay, so I said I'd reveal Desi in this chapter or the next, and I chose this one
