The young heroes had arrived at the mountain and they were all just hanging out at the moment. Robin soon noticed something, Phantom was nowhere to be seen, he was usually hanging around, sometimes literally and Robin wondered where his boyfriend was. Robin looked at his teammates, "Has anyone seen Phantom?"

Everyone thought for a moment, none of them had seen him that morning, Black Canary was supposed to train them later as well. Robin decided to see if Phantom was in his room, he might just be hiding for some reason and Robin wanted to make sure he was okay. Robin knocked on Phantom's door and he didn't hear anything so he opened the door, "Phantom?"

Robin saw Phantom lying on his bed with his eyes half open, he didn't look well at all. The lights were off but Robin could see him because of his glow and Robin got worried almost immediately. He was more pale then usual, he seemed to be sweating a bit, he seemed to be shaking a little, and he groaned as he hid his face in his blanket when Robin opened the door.

Robin closed the door most of the way and walked over to Phantom, the half ghost pulled his blanket away from his face when the light from outside was mostly gone. Robin knelt next to Phantom's bed and brushed some of his hair away from his eyes, "What's wrong?"

Phantom looked at Robin, "I think I'm sick, I have a headache, I can't stop shaking, my stomach hurts, and I feel like shit."

Robin frowned, "Do you want me to get you anything?"

Phantom shook his head, "It's not a good idea to-" Phantom was cut off when he sneezed and ice spikes formed from the floor, Robin jumped back to avoid them. Phantom tried to get up but but his headache stopped him before he could even sit up straight. "Are you okay?" Phantom asked with a worried look.

"I'm fine, what was that?" Robin asked.

"When ghosts, or half ghosts, get sick their powers are affected, they get out of control and unpredictable. A power could work one minute and short out the next, I'll even use them without meaning to at random times."

Robin walked toward Phantom as he got rid of the ice and put his hand on his forehead. "Your a lot warmer then usual."

Phantom buried his head in his blankets again and Robin stood up, "I'll be right back." Robin left Phantom's room and he grabbed an ice pack from the kitchen and medicine from the bathroom. Robin got some water and he went back to Phantom's room, the poor half ghost was coughing and it didn't sound pretty.

Robin walked over to Phantom as he stopped coughing, he set the ice pack on the nightstand. At least Phantom was sleeping in his bed now, he had pushed it into the corner farthest away from the door though. Robin held the medicine out to Phantom, "Take this, hopefully it'll make you feel better."

Phantom sat up with Robin's help and he took the medicine before drinking the water. He laid back down and Robin placed the ice pack on his forehead, Phantom could actually feel the coolness of the ice pack and he liked it. He looked at Robin and smiled a little, "Thanks."

Robin smiled, "No problem, just rest and get better." Robin heard the zeta tubes announce Black Canary's arrival and the young hero sighed, "Get some sleep. I'll tell Black Canary that you're sick and you can't train until you get better."

Phantom nodded and Robin walked out of the room, he closed the door so Phantom's headache wouldn't get worse. Robin saw that the rest of the team was already there and Black raised an eyebrow, "Where's Phantom?"

"He's sick, he can't even get up, there's no way he can train right now."

Aqualad looked at Robin, "Is he alright?"

Just as Aqualad said that Phantom suddenly fell out of nowhere and hit the floor, the half ghost groaned. "God fucking damn it."

Megan gave him a worried look, "Are you okay Phantom."

Phantom opened his eyes and hissed at the lights, he pulled his hood down and closed his eyes. "No, my powers are going haywire and I accidentally teleported twenty feet in the fucking air."

Robin walked over to Phantom, "Just keep your eyes closed, I'll help you." Robin helped Phantom stand and he sneezed as he transformed, he sneezed again and he transformed back. Phantom sighed, "Fuck."

They already knew that Phantom was half human but he didn't walk around in his human form very much, it was pretty rare to see him in his human form. Robin lead Phantom back to his room and Phantom laid down as Robin replaced the ice pack on Phantom's forehead. Robin was to worried about Phantom to leave him alone so he stayed with him.

Phantom ended up getting sick and he ran to the bathroom before Robin knew what was going on. Robin helped Phantom get back to his room again after Phantom felt like he wouldn't throw up again. Phantom looked at Robin, "Sorry, this must be pretty annoying."

Robin was a bit shocked and sad, "Danny, you don't have to apologize, you're sick, it's not your fault."

Danny smiled a little, "Yeah but the part about my powers freaking out isn't exactly fun."

Robin moved Phantom's hair out of his eyes again, "It's fine, you're not doing in on purpose." Phantom was going to respond but he started coughing again and electricity filled the air around him. Robin backed up and when the electricity was gone Phantom gave Robin an apologetic look.

Robin blinked once from shock (pun) but he quickly recovered, "You weren't kidding."

Phantom laughed a little, "Nope."

Robin sighed as he ran a hand through Phantom's hair, "Just go to sleep, you look tired." Phantom nodded and he closed his eyes, he was out like a light within minutes but Robin still didn't leave. Over the next week Robin took care of Phantom, he didn't even go back home because Phantom would suddenly throw up or he might need something.

There were even a few times when Phantom had accidentally hurt himself when his powers went berserk. Robin had to go find Phantom twice because he accidentally teleported, he was outside both times. Phantom even phased through the bed once, Robin had to help him get out from under it.

Robin was patient the whole time, he was worried about Phantom because of how sick he was. When Phantom was finally better Robin was glad, even the Leaguers had been getting a bit worried. Robin would tell Batman what was going on when Phantom was asleep and it sounded bad.

At least Phantom wasn't sick anymore, now he just had to heal from all of the injuries.
