PEYTON'S POV
I woke up feeling strange. I spun around in my bed and peeled the covers off of my body and walked over to the bathroom. I walked into the bathroom and over to the shower, I turned on the water and waited for it to heat up. Once I set it to the right temperature, I peeled off my pajama shirt and pants and stepped into the shower, the hot water and steam engulfing me. I stayed in there just standing and letting the hot water drip down my body. I stepped out and wrapped my body in the fluffy white towel hanging over the side of the bath. I walked into my room and dressed. My fingers were shaking so much it was almost impossible to do up my Gryffindor tie.

I walked out of my room into the crowded common room. What was once a rowdy room now went deadly silent. I descended the staircase, my breath increasing erratically. What happened next shocked Godric out of his grave.

JAMES' POV
All of a sudden the common room went quiet. I looked over at Lily-pad to find her glaring at the girls staircase. I looked up the stairs and saw Peyton walking down them, her chest going up and down extremely fast.
I had to play the part so I had to do something "What're  you all looking at??? Let her leave for Godrics sake!"I exclaimed, with what I hoped to look like an exasperated expression. It all happened so fast. One second everyone was silent and the the room was filled with wicked laughter. I looked over at Remus and shrugged.
"Why is everyone laughing?" I asked, looking at Peter more specifically. He stopped laughing and just stood silently, pondering I've my question. He just shrugged, looked at Sirius and burst out laughing again. And I'm not just not laughing because of this act thing, I am generally confused. Sirius looked up at me and said,
"Because, hahaha-what were you thinking. Defending her hahaha. She looked like she'd seen Slytherin himself hahaha!!!" He managed to wheeze out between laughter. That's when I turned around, only to crashed into a red faced Peyton Pettigrew. She just looked at me and stumbled out of the common room.

We all walked out of the common room and to the Great Hall. We sat at the Gryffindor table and waited for Dumbledoor to give his annual yearly speech.
"Welcome! I truly hope that you settled in wonderfully last night. Now, your heads of houses will hand out your timetables. Now, a couple of first day words. Sluggish, Abet, Ingratiating, Obfuscate. Now, enjoy breakfast." And with a wave of his wand, a banquet appeared on the tables before us. Straight away, Sirius and I attacked the scrambled eggs. We piled them on our plates while Moony spoke to wormtail(he doesn't even deserve a capital), a piece of buttered bread hanging out his mouth. And as usual, wormtail was pigging out on practically anything he could fit in the black hole he calls a mouth. I looked over the table and scanned it until I found Peyton. She had nothing but a glass of pumpkin juice and a half eaten apple. I heard an irritated cough behind me irritated.
"Mr. Potter, your timetable." Mcgonnagall said and walked to give Sirius his. We instantly started to compare.
"We chose all the same classes though??? How do we only have one together?" I exclaimed, thoroughly shocked. But of course, Remus had to pipe up with an annoyingly rational answer...sort of.
"Well, do you really think they would let you be in all the same classes together? No, didn't think so. I actually think it's good that they split you guys up a bit. Then you might focus a bit more on your school work." He said, his face scarily serious. I looked to Sirius to see him just gawking at Moony, half chewed bacon and toast barely visible on his mouth. He went to talk but started spluttering and choking.
"YOU THINK IT'S A GOOD THING WE ONLY HAVE ONE CLASS TOGETHER???!!!" He screamed, gaining the attention of the entire hall. "WHAT THE FÛĆK REMUS! THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING!!!"
"Mr. Black! Please, we encourage voicing your opinion but, quietly and with your hand raised." Dumbledore stated, his icy blue eyes sparkling with amusement. Padfoot sat down, a slight blush dusting his cheeks. I heard a faint giggle and looked to find Peyton with her hand covering her mouth attempting to suppress a laugh. The students-second year and up- were used to our outbursts and went back to breakfast. The first years stayed staring a little while longer as they are not used to our famous outburst. The food disappeared from the tables, signaling that it was time for classes to start.

We stood up and made our way to Charms. We sat at our 'usual' when Professor Flitwick stood up on a large pile of books and squeaked.

"I have arranged your new partners for this year, and no arguments" he shoot a pointed look to Sirius and I. "I will read them out and you will move to the side where you will wait for me to tell you where to seat" he took a long roll of parchment and read the last names. "Amilan and Rachels. Bertia and Zaccaro. Black and Tahitinen" Sirius groaned, having been put with a Slytherin. Flitwick cleared his throat, ignoring Sirius and going back to the list. "Lupin and Mr. Pettigrew" the went on. "And finally, Potter and Miss. Pettigrew" the whole class started laughing intill Flitwick silenced the whole class. The class now sat in silence, slightly afraid of what he would do. With a wave of his wand, he gave everyone a map of the class room, each table with a pair on them. Everyone moved, Or shuffled in Sirius' case, to their assigned seats. Peyton sat down as far away as she could from me. Everyone got their wands and text books out.

"Now, today I want you to read up on the banishing charm and attempt to cast it. I know this is not very advanced spell charming but this is stuff you will need for your N.E.W.T.S. Now, get to it!" He squeaked. God, his voice is bloody annoying. I looked at Peyton.
"So, do you remember anything on this because I don't." I asked her,  temporarily forgetting that she doesn't talk...at least not in front of people. She looked at me, pulled out her book opening it to the banishing charm page and pushing it in front of me. I cleared my throat and we started reading. We read the whole page and got out our wands. I think she can do wandless magic because she doesn't talk but I can't ever be sure. Maybe she'll talk for the spell I don't really think she would.
"Depulso, depulso, depulso." I muttered over and over again, making sure I didn't forget the spell. Peyton and I walked over to Flitwick, on the way, Peyton being tripped over by Zaccaroin the process.

As we reached Flitwick desk, we realized he was making the  timetable of what we would be doing that year. He looked up and smiled, knowing we were the first ones done. I felt a presence next to me and looked over to find Moony looking down on my, a slight smile on his scarred face.
"Ah! Looking for pillows I see? Here you go." He spoke, his voice rising slightly with each word. He passed us all a pillow each. Purple with little Pom poms all the way around it. We walked back to our desk and placed down our pillows.

PEYTON'S POV
We walked back to our table and sat down, focusing in our pillows. I looked at James to see him mouthing the spell over and over again. More people had collected their pillows and were now attempting to banishing charm. A couple of pillows were being shot around the classroom. So wereM some students but they weren't injured to badly...unfortunately. James raised his wand and pointed it at the pillow.
"Depulso!" He said, a white spark shooting out of his wand. The pillow shot across the room, hitting Snape in the back of the head. His head whipped around, his greasy hair almost slapping Evans in the face. Evans looked to where he was looking and looked at James. She looked at him with so much hate that I was surprised that he didn't burn to the ground in a pile of ashes. She whipped back around, red hair flying around her perfect face and head like wild fire. She got Severus' attention and they focused on their assignment again. James looked like he was gonna burst into laughter but looked at Remus, who shook his head, and he went back to his normal self. His Hazel eyes were still sparkling a bit though. He gestured to me with his wand. I felt myself flinch away but recovered quickly. I picked up my wand and pointed it at the pillow.
Depulso! I thought, focusing entirely on the pillow. All of a sudden, red sparks flew out of my wand and shot my pillow into the box it came out of. Well, that was unexpected.
