Prologue || Hayley's POV || Holocaust

My eyes were adjusting to the blurry vision that seemed like static electricity from an unplugged television. I looked up, the ceiling torn up into ripped bits of foamy material and microscopic peelings of paint that show the grey and cloudy sky.

"M-Mom?" I asked, thrusting my head around in every angle.

"D-Dad??" I asked with a louder tone in voice, starting to balance on my sweaty palms (unknown reason) and tilting looking for them.

Nothing. Just an echo of my desperateness. But I noticed how my house was destroyed. Couches were covered in plenty of patches. Lamps and their bulbs were fractured and bursting with sparks. And the wooden floor tiles were cracked and chipped. I wonder how this all happened. I swore I remember watching a movie with my parents. Everything just went black and then that's when I woke up. Right now.

I stabilized from the ground and plodded towards the front door and twisted the door knob. That's when I saw what I saw. Trees were cut off up to their stomps, bodies were motionless on the grass, blood splattered everywhere, and people were sprinting for their lives. As for I, I squatted down to my knees and moved slowly where a vast block of bins and boxes were. I hid there with my hand covering my mouth then I checked again and it was worse. What was going on? Where's my parents? Why aren't they here? Why is everyone running? Why are there dead people? These questions floated around my head. But I knew what this disastrous event was. It was a... holocaust.
