28 more days. Ugh! The days fly by like that, and before you know it, I have to go back to my trashy trailer park grandmother's house. Every. Single. Day. See my name is Julia, and I am currently in the middle of Chemistry. The only up about it is that I get to sit next to the cutest boy in class, Ro-.
"Julia, Julia! Are you listening?" asked the teacher, Mr. Perry.
"Yes," replied Julia looking Mr. Perry straight in the eye. That was one of her techniques of getting her teachers to believe her. Just five more seconds . . . . .BRING! BRING!
Back to my thoughts, continued Julia after she got out of the school building. Julia currently lived at her dad's grandparents house, which was at an old trailer park that lived just down the street. See Julia once lived in a normal family, in a normal house, but none of that lasted more than a memory. Julia's mother, Rose, and her father, Julian, were high school sweethearts back in the day. Rose wanted to be a Marine but gave up on her dream to stay back with Julien to be a teacher. Long story short, Rose got pregnant, Julien dropped out of college and became an alcoholic. Rose and Julien broke up (for they never got married) after they had Julia, and she's never seen her mom since. Some say that she's still in the Marines, but she's been in the Marines for 13 years! Her parents (Julia's grandparents) got very stressed and eventually went out to find her. Julia hasn't seen them in a few years. She never sees her father either, for he is in rehab and probably never will leave.
"Grandma, I'm home!" said Julia as she walked in the door. She could still smell the faint smoky cheese smell of her grandma's boyfriend. Her grandpa died in a car accident way before she was born. Now, her grandma was dating this doorknob named, Frank. Frank made his own cologne out of cheese. He smoked a pack of cigars every day. He just recently got my grandma into it too! Now the place smells like campfire smoke.
"WHAT DEAR? I DIDN'T CATCH THE LAST PART!" answered her grandma. She walked into their tiny "living room" still wearing her pajamas. Their trailer home consisted of a living room, with one couch, a kitchen, with little to none counter space and two bedrooms; one for Julia and another one for her grandmother.
"IM GOING OUT TO EAT WITH FRANK, OK HONEY. BYE!" her grandma said. Julia's grandma actually names Barb, walked out the door before Julia could even start her sentence. Julia looked out the dirty window and saw Frank's junk bucket. She saw Barb get in and give Frank a big, disgusting, sloppy kiss. "Eww," thought Julia as she shut the curtains.
As Julia did her chores, she couldn't help but think what Roland was doing right now. Maybe he was doing his homework too. Maybe he was thinking about her. Maybe . . . no! She needed to focus on homework right now, not her crush.
Julia decided to take a walk outside to clear her brain. As she reached the gates of the trailer park, she decided to grab a bite to eat. She walked into the Side N' Dine (the trailer park's restaurant), but quickly walked out once she saw her grandmother and Frank locking lips.
She walked out of the trailer park and decided to go to McDonald's. Julia bought a burger and fries and continued to walk home. Julia reached the trailer park gates and heard a whimper.
