Breanna's   POV

I sigh as I enter our old rented apartment. It has three bedrooms, a small kitchen and one washroom which I share with my sister,my mom has one in her room.
"Welcome home sis",my younger sister ;Kira, says when I enter the living room."How is mom?" ,I ask. My mom has a heart problem and the doctors need 1million to be able to save her. "Getting weaker",she says with glistening eyes. I go to sit to sit by her,hugging her really tight."She's going to be fine", I whisper. "Don't worry, I'm here to take care of both of you."
I leave to my room to take a shower before having my dinner. I enter mom's room to check on her but she is asleep. As soon as I'm about to close the door her eyes flutter open and she calls me to her bed. "How are you ?", I ask "Fine", she replies but I know she's not. "Don't worry mom, only 5,00,000 dollars to go and you'll be cured. "Oh Bre what will I do without?".
"Nothing mom, you won't be able to do anything without your daughter",I chuckle softly. After telling her about my day, I check the time and it's 8pm ; time for mom to take her medicines and later on check on Kira.
Kira is just 15yrs old but doesn't act her age , she is more mature than kids her age.
My father left as soon as he found out about mom's heart problem. He had also spent our hard earned money on gambling and getting drunk. About six months ago we found out that he died in an accident. He had been driving while drunk.
I make sure that everything is OK before going to my room. I take out my laptop and start searching online for job vacancies. I'm already working as a waitress in a restaurant , but I need a job which pays more if I want mom's surgery to be done soon and be able to pay Kira's school fees. I keep searching till my eyes hurt before I see a job available to be the PA of the CEO of Norman Industries. I have heard that that company pays its employees very high salaries. Quickly, I click on "Apply". I just hope they get to me soon.
