Year 7 camp at Waratah Bay- Recount
Firstly, we went on a bus to go to Waratah Bay, We left Tuesday 22nd of April and came back Thursday 24th of April. When we go to Waratah Bay we got told a little about the camp, we were told who was captain in the cabin and who was in our cabin.
Then we got into our activity group and did the giant swing which was a pole, rope and a harness the rest of the students pooled this rope so the person on the giant swing would go up, we got a choice to have a surprise or a count down there was also a challenge to put your arms out strait and not to cross them if u did the challenge and succeeded you would of go extra desert.
We did a rope course where we had to climbed on these tyres or ropes we had a partner and they were guiding us if we needed help if you wanted you could of done it blind folded and I did it.
There was a big net and we formed 2 groups on the sand for volley ball/volley stars.
Rock wall climbing was this thing where you had to climb on rocks on the wall and try to go all around the course with out falling and you needed a partner to support you my partner and I did go all around it with out stepping of it. That night we went on a walk on the beach.
The next day we went to the beach and went to the rock pools and got some sea animals that where their and put them in a bucket but at the end we put them back.
Then we did damper where you have to try to get out of this pit with out touching the ropes and wood it was pretty hard my group couldn't really do it but we tried.
We also did boat building where we build these boats we could be in partners, when we finished building our boats we could go see if it could float and mine did.
Finally, we had lunch. We had cake because it was Chloe's birthday, than we played a little bit and left to go back to school.
Conclusion:
The best thing about camp was being with my friends. I wouldn't recommend to go their again because I didn't really like the food but other wise the camp was good.
