The school year started really fun. I had nothing to do after school, so I thought I might stick around to watch Jordan at football practice. I sat on the bleachers outside, at the field. It was kind of boring at first though. It always confuses me when the quarterback would yell out random words before they go, like why, what does it mean, it makes NO SENSE. Then I started to understand the plays more. I went down to the sidelines to get a better hearing and a closer look. It looked SO FUN.
Practice was over, so our mom came to pick us up. We got home, then went to the dinning room to do our homework, while mom cooked dinner. I couldn't help but ask Jordan "hey when are tryouts" I said. He turned around and looked at me crazy. "Tryouts for what, Elizabeth?" He said with a disgusted face. "What are you talking about" "Tryouts for football duhh". So then, under four seconds, he bursted out with laughter. With the ugliest smirck on his face, he said "Are you crazy, first of all, tryouts has already been done, second of all, did you forget you are a GIRL, not everyone is good at football." My mom turned around and said with a serious face "hey, stop it, no arguments please, and don't say that Jordan". After what Jordan said, I didn't speak to anyone, not even my dad, sister, older brother, or even my mom, and especially not to Jordan. I ate my dinner so quickly and quietly, then went to my room. Ever since, Jordan's comment had got me thinking.
