I walk into the school, hair a mess and eye circles dark and noticeable. Sure, I'm pretty, but I don't care about my appearance as much as the other girls.
I look up for a second and my dull eyes are met with bright and bubbly ones, full of innocence and joy. Of course those eyes belonged to the one and only Eddie Kaspbrak. I always seem to find myself lost in them. They make me feel a way I don't feel with anyone else. He notices me staring and blushes, I turn away and try to play it off.
I see the 'trashmouth' of the school, Richie Tozier, nudge Eddie with his elbow, then whisper something In his ear. I see Eddie glance at me and then quickly look away. Could they be talking about me? I mean, why would they, it's not like they have ever been interested in talking to me. I shake it off and head to class.
Of course, since it is the last day, the classes seem longer and the day almost feels like it's never going to end.
Eventually, after a hellish amount of time, me, and the other miserable teens were let out.I walk out of the school and see the losers, as they like to call themselves, near the trash can. I slowly walk past them, making sure I steal a glance at Eddie, before I'm stopped my Henry bowers.
"Ha, look who has a crush on wheezy!" Henry says before looking me up and down. "Wow Y/n didn't know you could look even messier than yesterday." He says before laughing to himself.
"Please Henry, I'm begging you, don't tell him, I'll do anything." I say in fear Eddie might find out.
"Ha like i'd want anything from a trash can." He says before grabbing me by the handle on the back of my backpack, dragging me over to the trash can, where Eddie and the rest of the losers are. "Hey wheezy, looks like you have a little admirer, ha, this trash can has been making heart eyes at you all year." He says before pushing me over, and walking away.
I get on my hands and knees, keeping my head facing the ground, as I feel a few tears come out of my eyes. I stay there, in humiliation, waiting for someone to laugh, or make noises of disgust. Surprisingly, I feel a hand on my back, then see one in front of my face. I grab it as the anonymous person helps me to my feet. I look up with my now red and tear stained eyes. I see the eyes of the one and only, Eddie Kaspbrak.
"Does He always bully you like that?" Eddie asks with sadness and sympathy in his eyes. I nod slowly, as I bring my hand up to weakly brush away my tears.
"He bullies me all the time too." He pauses as if he's thinking of what to say. "You're not a trash can, I think you look great." He says as red rushes to his cheeks.
"Get some Eddie!" Richie says with a huge grin.
"Ignore him, he's a little shit." Eddie says, making me giggle a bit.
"Um, do you maybe wanna come to my place? To hang out and stuff." I ask, filled with anxiety.
"Actually we were gonna-" Eddie was cut off by a slap on the arm.
"Don't be an idiot Eddie! We'll go without you! This may be your only time inside a girls house besides your mom!" Richie says. Eddie nods and gives me a smile.
"Now I don't have to hang out in that grey water." I look at him a little confused, but drop it.
"Welp we'll see you guys at the Quarry, right Y/n?" Richie asks, probably insisting I come.
"Yeah sure. I'll be there." I say. Richie, Bill, and Stanley get on there bikes and start heading off.
"Let's go then?" I ask. Eddie nods at me with a smile. Then he does something unexpected, he grabs my hands and starts dragging me over to the bike rack. I look down at our hands and blush, his hands are surprisingly small, but still bigger than mine.
I feel him let go and I frown a bit, missing the contact. I unlock my bike and hope on. "Follow me." I say and I start to ride to my house.
After a good 10 minute ride we get to my small house. I get off my bike letting it drop in the lawn, Eddie does the same. I lead Eddie up to the front door, taking the key out of my pocket, then unlocking it. I walk in cringing at the slight mess.
"I'm sorry it's a little messy, I don't usually have time or energy to tidy up." I say hoping he doesn't mind, he smiles a bit, telling me he's ok with it.
"I find it cozy, I don't have to worry about messing anything up." He says, earning a giggle from me. "Is there nobody home?" Eddie asks confused at the lack of adults.
"Nobody but us." I say hoping it didn't sound too flirty. He blushes deeply and his face curves into a grin.
"Lets have some fun."
