I'll be your pill (Eddie Kaspbrak x reader)

late

   I wake up to sun in my eyes and furrow my eyebrows together in discomfort. I groggily slump out of bed and onto my weak feet. I head to the living room to see how Eddie's doing.

   I walk to where I can see him, he's fast asleep. His lips are slightly parted, and his hair is a mess, unlike his usual perfect side part. I see him twitch a bit, then his eyes flutter, I look away quickly, hoping to not look too creepy. I hear him shift around and yawn a bit before hearing him finally speak.

   "Good morning Y/n" he says in a sleepy voice. I look over at him and see him smiling wide at me, I smile back and giggle a bit.

   "Nice hair Eddie, I sat referencing his messy bed head. He sighs and tries patting it down, with no luck, making me laugh even louder.

   "Hey! Yours is no better!" He says defensively, he lightens up a bit as he giggles at the sight of my unruly hair.

   "You're right Eddie." I say, not bothering to fix it anyways.

   "Lets make breakfast!" Eddie says excitedly, I smile widely at the thought of filling my empty stomach.

   "That's the greatest idea I've heard all day." I say and close my eyes imagining all the food I could eat.

   "It's the only idea you've heard all day." He says as he gets up off the couch, his shirt messed up and slightly risen, showing his belly button. I giggle and he realizes and quickly pulls it down.

  "It may be the first, but I bet it's gonna be my favorite throughout the day." I say still stuck on the thought of food.

   "Enough talk it's time to eat." He says as he heads to the kitchen, I follow behind him skipping slightly with excitement.

"Alrighty then." I say with a big smile. I open up the fridge and get out some milk.
"Does cereal sound good Eds?" I ask, He smiles at me and nods.

"Sounds perfect." I grab the cereal out of the cupboard and grab two bowls, I pour the cereal then the milk, then carefully try to carry it to the table without spilling.

"God I feel like I've been asleep forever what time is it?" He asks. I get up and walk to the living room clock, it reads 1:46.

I walk back in ready to eat cereal. "It says 1:46." I say calmly, it didn't seem that crazy judging how late we stayed up.

"Shit! The boys told us to meet them at the Quarry at 11!" He says frantically. I take a bite of cereal unbothered.

   "Don't worry Eddie, they won't care to much." I say optimistically. He calms down a bit and we finish our cereal.
"Ok let's get ready to go I guess."             

Well I'm already ready."

   "Oh, right, you don't have clothes here anyways." I giggle a bit. "I'm gonna go change really quick." I run to my room and grab an old pair of underwear and an old bra to swim in. I put them on then grab a light dress to have over them. I slip on the dress straightening any wrinkle or imperfection. Not that it mattered, as I would be taking it off eventually. I walk back out to the living room and grab the old sneakers I had left on the middle of the floor the previous night.

"You look great." Eddie said that instinctively scratched the back of his neck from slight embarrassment.

"Thanks so do you bed head." I giggle a bit and he does too, not taking the joke personal. Not that he had any reason to, he looks adorable with his hair messed up a bit.

"Let's go so they don't leave before we get there." He says worried he missed out completely on the first legitimate day of summer with all his friends. I grab his hand softly to reassure him, I smile sweetly before leading him outside and to our bikes. I let go and frown a bit. I grab my bike and hop on.

   "Alrighty Eddie lets go have some fun!" I say and he giggle at my over exaggerated enthusiasm.

   After not to long of a ride we get to the quarry, and see all of the boys, plus one boy and one girl I've never met before. I get off the bike and let it fall to the ground, Eddie does the same. I jog over to them quickly and greet them with a smile.

   "What's up everyone." I say excitedly with a smile. My smile quickly drops when all of them look at me with furrowed eyebrows and frowns.

   "Where the fuck have you guys been? We've been here for two hours! We were beginning to think you guys died or something!" Richie said angrily.

   "Sorry Richie, we were having so much fun we slept in too late." Eddie says disappointed in himself.

   "Oh so you guys were fucking or something?" He asks, not as a joke but genuinely disappointed we weren't here on time.

   "No Richie, god why do you always think like that!" Eddie yells already annoyed with Richie's remarks.

   "I just want to know what the fuck kept you guys from hanging with us, after you promised!" Richie says raising his tone getting angrier, the rest of the boys and the two kids we haven't met were sitting there awkwardly avoiding eye contact.

   "Richie is it that big of a deal, we are here now!" I say one more time giving the smile a try. It quickly drops as Richie starts packing up, the rest just following along to avoid any awkwardness.

   "Whatever, we're leaving, you guys can swim by yourselves." Richie says as he walks over to his bike and rides away, the others do the same without even saying anything.

   "Ouch." I say as I turn to look at Eddie. He looks at the ground angrily and disappointed. He walks past me and sits on the edge of the quarry. I follow behind him and sit next to him.

   "I think we fucked up Y/n." He says still without eye contact. I put my head on his shoulder and sigh.

   "Well let's not let it ruin our day, we came here to swim right?" I ask, I stand up and pull the dress over my head, revealing my underwear. Eddie looks back at me and his mouth hangs open, he quickly looks away with a heavy blush on his cheeks, I giggle at him. I stand at the edge of the quarry, taking a few quick breaths before jumping into the water.

   I come back up to the surface and look up, seeing Eddie in his underwear, I blush madly. Soon he jumps off and comes to the surface. Meeting me face to face.

   "Heh hi." I say with an awkward giggle.

"Wow you're pretty"
