"Kayci!"

Kayci looked up at her dad. She was a little annoyed. Even though she was five, she loved reading. Right now she was reading her favorite book, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie.

"Yes," Kayci replied even though she was annoyed, she always was happy to see her dad.

"How was your day Kay?" He asked, smiling down at his daughter. She was his favorite thing in the world.

Kayci's smile got even bigger at this question. "It was so cool. The big kids even talked to me." Kayci blurted out. She almost said it all in one big breath.

"The older kids?" Kayci's dad asked with his eyebrows raised and a curious grin.

"Yep I fell and they helped me back up. They said I had pretty hair."

"That's cool Kay, now go ahead and finish your book."

"Wait, Daddy"

Kayci dad turned around and leaned on the doorframe. "Yes Mam" He said.

"Can I have a boyfriend." Kayci asked.

"Can I lock you up and throw away the key, and slide your meals through a slot?" He replied.

"NO" Kayci practically shouted.

Her dad smiled. "Well you got your amswer." He chuckled then walked out of a frowning Kayci's presence.
