(calista above)
Calista's POV :
Without glancing behind I ran with all the energy I could muster up in my body.
I didn't want to end up in their pure dark evil grips. If they caught me now Goddess knows what they'll do to me.
I glanced behind just for a split second and I regretted it. They were only three meters behind me. I sprinted forward with the best of my ability, my head pounded, my heart throbbed, my vision blurred due to lack of oxygen.
Pure will was giving me the strength to move ahead. The will to escape from a fate worse then any kind of death.
I ran for what felt like hours but I knew would hardly be half an hour. They were still chasing me like I was worth all the wealth in the world.
I dared to glance behind despite knowing better, my will shattered. There they were right behind me only a meter and three trees separating us.
My vision started to blur more and I gasped to fill my lungs with much needed air. Everything burned. My lungs were on flames, my heart pumped at a speed that I thought it might burst out of my chest.
My breathing ragged, my head spun like I was drowning in a whirlpool and I collapsed alas.
But defeat was unacceptable so I crawled to a log three steps away.
Before I could get support from it and stand, a rough hand jerked me up and turned me towards itself.
A scream left my mouth involuntarily as I remembered my dream and vermin's sadistic smile.
Just as I turned all my nightmares came true and all my fears were affirmed. Indeed I was captured by one of his ugly goons.
Tears started streaming down my face as panic and creeping dread entrapped my whole existence.
The man gripped my hand harshly and give me an atrocious smile. Before I could register that sinister dance across his lip, I felt immense pain against my left cheek and the force of his barbaric slap sent my head flying to the right.
I could've winged through the air and collapsed across the tree a feet away if his galore hand hadn't pinned me in my place but it couldn't stop my body from flinging towards right.
As soon as my brain registered the action and pain, another scream left my mouth but this one was filled with sheer agony. He just gave me another menacing grim smile that chilled my bones.
That smile didn't last long before I could blink the man was snatched away from me by a big silver creature.
I fell to the ground in shock. Before I could comprehend what was happening, the creature tore all of vermin's man limb to limb.
The sight of death, the raw metallic smell of blood, the horrific bloody bodies and the panic from my run before were dictated as an overload to my conscience and so my system decided to shut down.
Last thing I saw before the darkness lulled me to unconsciousness were the bright blue eyes of the wolf with a crescent blue moon mark near it's eye that saved me from an ominous baleful fate.
Xander's POV:
"Jasper just deal with the rest. I'm going for a run, this damn council is boiling my blood! They could fuçk themselves for all I care", I roared with a growl and left his office.
I started jogging towards the back door while loosening my tie. I ran towards the nearest tree before I changed my mind and mid shifted.
I quickly abandoned my suit and undergarments and shifted.
