"Bethany look!"  My sister smiled, holding the pony toy and making it run. I giggled. "Isn't it exciting? You're turning nine tomorrow." She laughed, her icy blue eyes bore into mine. I nodded along, colouring with her Copic markers. She always let me use her things.

My mom peeked into the room, and winked at my sister. She winked back, and I tilted my head in confusion. My sister then whispered to me. "I have a great present for you tomorrow, I just know you'll love it."

I woke up cold, my feet completely asleep. I felt little drops of water falling on me from the cave roof. I turned to the left, seeing a mysterious figure. Their face was turned towards the mouth of the cave. "H-hello?" I asked fearfully, they turned around.

His deep brown eyes looked into mine, and his brown hair was wet, probably from the rain. Thunder crashed from outside, and I gasped. He smiled at me. "Bethany, look." He held up a pony doll. "What do you want from me?" I shivered, he just winked. Lightning crashed, and he was gone.
